The food was fantastic. We had the seared ahi tuna, a wagyu burger, and the linguine Alfredo. The burger was cooked beautifully, seasoned well, and was extremely tender. The Linguine was rich, creamy, and delicious. The seared tuna had a lime cole slaw on it that was a very refreshing twist and added a delicious twist. The fresh rolls with the garlic butter sauce was also amazing. The prices were very reasonable for what you get. The staff were friendly and helpful and treated everyone like family.

Generous portions and full of flavor! We had two different types of salads to start, and they were both very good. Had the prime ribeye and upgraded to the chile macaroni and cheese for the side. Both amazing! They’ve only been officially open for a week, but the service was on par with a well established restaurant.

$250 for four meals and sodas including tip. Very pricy, but could’ve had better food quality. Family’s experience: 8 ounce sirloin with mashed potatoes very good. The second 8 ounce sirloin with mashed potatoes was not cooked to order. She ordered well done and the center was definitely not well done; too pink.
The New York strip didn’t seem to be all that flavorful in his opinion and the backside was charred too much.
My personal experience: The bread had great flavor but was over cooked on the outside. I understand the crust on this bread is meant to be a little tougher than typical bread however, it was very hard to bite into. I ordered the beef bourguignon. It had great flavor. it came with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes and the red wine sauce were quite tasty. However, the beef was very tough and gristly. I would expect for a $40 dish that the beef would be tender.
The atmosphere was quite cozy. Very beautiful establishment.
The waiter was good and everyone very nice. Unfortunately, the delivery of food was slow.
I would like to say I would give it a second try, but that probably won’t happen for the prices and the quality of the food that I received.

My $65 ribeye steak was ordered medium but was so raw I couldn’t even cut through it with my steak knife. I had to take it home and cook it myself. I would have let the staff know but my server never returned until my party was done and ready to pay. Very disappointing and pricey. Atmosphere was awesome though!

The moment you walk up to this place, you can tell it was built with so much love. The building itself is stunning. Hard to believe it was once a machine shop. I love that they reused brick from other local buildings. There is something really special about giving old pieces new life.

The menu is on the smaller side, but everything I’ve tried has been so good. My favorite appetizer is the corn ribs. Oh my goodness. Absolutely delicious and something I had never even heard of before. The drinks are just as amazing. You can tell the bar staff truly care about what they do. Maysen is usually our bartender and she is hands down wonderful.

The Jungle Bird
The Lemon Drop Martini
☕️ And I always finish the night with an Espresso Martini

Saturday nights are my favorite because they have live acoustic music in the bar. It just creates the sweetest vibe and makes the whole place feel warm and alive. And the outdoor patio… I could stay out there all night. It’s beautiful.

Javier really gifted Martinsville with a treasure when he opened this place. ❤️

Yes it’s new, just opened in October, so there is still come tweaking to do. But every time we go, it gets better and better. If you visited early on and it wasn’t what you hoped for, I truly think you should give it another try. They’re growing. They’re learning. They’re putting in the work. And honestly, the staff and atmosphere alone make it worth the trip.✨

My husband and I dined here last week for my birthday. He usually takes me to a steakhouse for my birthday, and we have never been to 1915 before so wanted to try it out. Compared to other steakhouses, it is pretty sub-par. The building itself is lovely, however the layout and furniture give off more of a cafeteria or cheaper casual restaurant vibe.

We arrived for our reservation and were pleased that we did not have to wait more than a couple minutes. We were taken to our table and the waitress walked up immediately. While I appreciated the timely arrival, she asked us for our drink order while we were still taking off our coats, before we were able to sit down and look at the drink menu. Therefore, right away we felt rushed. The drinks were alright. The elote corn dip appetizer was good, as well as the rolls and herb butter. I ordered a filet mignon and my husband ordered a sirloin for dinner. I ordered my filet medium and my husband ordered his sirloin medium-rare. My filet arrived medium-rare/rare (pictured) and my husband’s sirloin was extremely rare. Not only were both our entrees severely undercooked, we heard other tables around us complain of the same issue. Just a couple bites into our meal, the waitress came to ask if we wanted dessert. We weren’t sure because we had just started eating but went ahead and declined dessert. She brought the check to our table while we weren’t even halfway through our mail. Again, we felt rushed.

Overall it was not the best experience. It just seems like they have a lot of things that need to be tweaked. It seems that the servers and the chef all need a bit more training in steakhouse etiquette and cooking techniques. The prices did not match the quality of the food or the experience. I am glad we went because now we know, but we don’t believe we will be returning nor do will we recommend this place to others. If you want a proper steakhouse experience, spend the little bit of extra money and go to Ruth’s Chris or Harry and Izzy’s.

I just want to say I was pleasantly impressed and to be honest that is not easy to do these days. The wife and I had the Tomahawk medium well and was cooked to absolute perfection. Everything we had was delicious except for the potatoes but the manager went above and beyond to make it right. The staff was great and the atmosphere was very nice. I read all these comments about steak not cooked right to there specifications but in my experience mine was absolutely perfect. If you do not try this place you are missing out.

A friend took me here for my birthday! It was all great! My one and only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium well and it was cooked medium rare/rare.

There are kinks that need to be worked out. We made a reservation and was told there was no table – a manager sat us and an hour later we still have no food! We ordered a starter and salads and again about 45 minutes after we have nothing. We are visiting from Maryland and were so excited. It has been the biggest let down. Salads came and look pitiful at best. Our meal came all wrong, missing sides substitutes for items they ran out of and never told us. One meal did not come at all. My steak came with no side. It’s a comedy of errors.
