Shantelle was an excellent server!! I’m extremely difficult in my orders and she was able to ensure my food came out exactly how I requested it. She was friendly, quick to put in our order for unlimited fries and drinks. Definitely top services especially since she has only been working for 5 days. I would definitely come back and request to sit in her section. The manager Paulyn was also friendly and and made our experience great!

I’d give 0 stars if I could! This place has gone down hill! Came to eat with my family around 8:40pm was sat within 5-10min just for our waiter to get our drinks completely wrong and then never come back to take our order. Plus it was pretty much empty, there was no reason to even wait so long! Such a big waste of time! Pathetic customer service! I wouldn’t recommend to eat here at all! Sucks that it’s the only one in town, it used to be my favorite!

I am including the email I wrote to corporate below regarding this location:
Hello,
I am reaching out regarding a terrible experience I had at your location located at your location 2701 Ming Ave, Bakersfield CA 93304. I had a server named Maribel who was extremely rude. She had an attitude as soon as she sat us down and was very short with us. Upon returning to the table to bring us our drinks she said “If my manager sees you smoking that in here he’s gonna have to kick you out.” My entire party was very confused by this statement as none of us have ever smoked nor were we at the moment so we asked her what she was referring to and she said a vape that she could smell a vape. Again, none of us have ever smoked nor were we at that moment. So we responded that we were not and she just walked away. We were very uncomfortable at that point. Then she disappeared and did not service us for some time. Then she brought us a basket of fries with about 5 fries on it and placed it down rather rudely. After that we were all very upset so we asked if we could get our order to go. Then, she returned to our table and told us our food would have to be full price as we had ordered the 9.99 double tavern meal and before even giving us a chance to respond as to whether or not we were okay paying full price she walked away. So, since she responded in that way two members of my party walked over to the hostess asking if we could cancel our order, pay for our drinks, and leave. So, I paid the $18.36 for my parties drinks and we left and went to eat elsewhere as we were all quite hungry and had not eaten at all today. Upon completion of the meal we had elsewhere, I called the location and spoke with the manager. He said that our server Maribel claimed she had seen us smoking/ seen smoke at our table. However, this is impossible as none of us own any type of smoking apparatus. He also said there was nothing that could be done as we did not speak with him in that moment. He also claimed that this server asked him to step out and speak to us but by the time he got the chance we were gone. However, nobody in my party had been notified that a manager would be coming to resolve this issue. I write this email in order to prevent issues like this from happening again and to express the fact that if you have team members like this representing your company I will never be returning to another Red Robin location again. It ruined our day and was very upsetting. I would have been more than happy to speak with a manager in that moment had we been notified one was coming to us.

The food was great, and we were seated right away. The host seemed a bit disengaged when showing us to our table. Our server was friendly, though she didn’t check in with us after taking our order. I’m guessing this was because of the table-side terminals for reordering drinks, but that was never explained. Overall, still a good experience.

August 3rd 2025 had a great visit and we both got the 10$ burger deal and the pretzel bites, all was good and our server Steven was great.

Been to a good handful of Red Robin’s all over the country now and everyone of them is different in its own way,
This one was a good visit with my girlfriend and we were using a coupon, everything went smoothly and had a good time
The enjoyed the bleu cheese burger and the truffle fries are super good also

The table were were sat at was loose, like the entire thing was wiggly which is the reason for 4 stars.

So I’m here for lunch sit at booth first I hear the bartender and another lady bashing there co workers then that same girl who was serving the bar came to my table I ordered two drinks the Oder of fries and salmon broccoli and fries and a salad then I said can I get the salad before the food she said yes and left there was a full bar of men and I noticed she was very engaged so that’s why she waited on my table after waiting. I get the salad with the salmon and cold broccoli I just told her can you take this it’s cold and can I get a fry only then the service became so slow waiting on drinks to get filled and fry’s it’s 4pm the day before Xmas eve a Tuesday so idk if it’s ppl working and then I get reseated out of the bar and I hear the same white girls complaining about some co workers idk if they know but the whole area by the restroom can hear and the window and seal were just so dirty last waitress was helping she was sweet I mean cleanliness gone down hill professionalism from bartender and the other white girl I mean letting customers hear you literally bashing other co workers and the fact that there were not packed at all and service was still bad that’s crazy I think I’m done with this place there are better cleaner and more professional in the mall and around there aswell. But please go experience it you be the judge

Went for a birthday celebration. Ordered drinks..took 30 mins or more just to get water. Half of the group didn’t get water, another server (not our server) brought out water.

The orders was messed up. Very slow to come out, some in our group never received their food at all.

Wasn’t cooked how it was ordered. Personally made me sick.

Fries was cold, burger was not well cooked.

The restaurant was clean, the hostess, Manager, and waitress were all very nice, helpful, and attentive. There was approximately 25 minute wait time for a table but that is usually the case at this establishment. The manager was doing interviews to bring on more hostesses and wait staff due to a shortage in staff. Our waitress made sure we had everything in a timely manner and the food, although a bit salty, was good and tasty. I would recommend this place to others as they have a wide variety of food for the whole family.

2nd time in the last month they have no ice cream for shakes. My wife got a birthday gift for a free burger. As a result of using the “free” gift, they raised the advertised price of the Yumm deal from $9.99 to over $15. Even when asking why the bill was wrong, they said they could not change it. This is my last visit to Red Robin’s. At some point, the lies, extortion and false advertising have to stop. This has just become normal behavior these days. No more for me and my family!
