We love this place for its pizzas! Soooo good; great flavors and the crust is always perfect And it’s also a fun and visually entertaining atmosphere with great tributes to old railroad tracks and companies. This is our 4th time going and each time we were served by a friendly and enthusiastic waitress. We can’t wait to go back and try their Nutella dessert pizza

Excellent service, excellent food, Elizabeth was the best server we’ve had all week we’ve been eating out all week! Uncle Jimmy was pretty drunk and started to make a scene Aunt Maggie was too busy eating mushrooms to notice. We really like to travel around the Midwest. And this part of Illinois is great.

We are new to the Rail house, having been here two times now. The first time we went we sat at the bar and the bar manager, Debbie, was our waitress. She talked about how the Rail house started up and that she’s been there from the beginning! She was really nice and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with her. It’s amazing to see how much the bar has grown and how much they’ve been able to expand! She talked about how they were going to be having a celebration this summer now that they have the new parking lot, that’s exciting! The second time we went, we took our boys so that they could enjoy the food as well. We love the atmosphere of this place! The decorations, exposed ceiling, seating, the brick oven, signs, and wood floors are just all great! Both times I’ve been here, the food has been made hot and fresh, the first time I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and the second time, I had the barbecue bacon cheeseburger (my favorite). I enjoyed the fried pickles as an appetizer and we also have tried the mozzarella cheese sticks, curds, and the nachos. The curds were my favorite!
If I could have one suggestion, I think that the potatoes need some spices and seasonings. We’ve had the tots, fries, and curly fries and noticed that they all lack some sort of flavor, they’re just a bit Bland. Other than that we have always enjoyed our meals here and definitely enjoy the atmosphere! The service is also tip top, the two waitresses that we have had for each visit were extremely polite and helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. We will definitely be back, so you guys should stop and here one day for lunch or dinner also!

Awesome place for a good meal! We went around 2pm and had great service! I had the Honey Garlic Tenderloin with tater tots and my wife had the Rail House Burger with sweet potato fries; both were exceptional! Definitely recommend!!

The haystack came out hot and fresh followed by my mushroom Swiss burger and the rail house pizza which was a lil sweet a lil spicy perfect balance. Everything was excellent! I just get overstimulated with noise and crowds so I was overstimulated by the time we left.

Ordered pickup which we occasionally do and was reminded why I tell myself I’m not ordering take out again everytime.
The food took 30 minutes longer than our estimated pickup time and the times are wildly inaccurate on toast. The food is always great, IF we end up even getting what we ordered. Pickup is supposed to be convenient and pickup here unfortunately is not.
This is not the first, second or even third time we have had this issue.

Went here with my hubby a few weekends ago. We loved our server! She was so friendly!
The food was mid. I ordered the pony shoe. My meat was not seasoned at ALL & had spots of pink in it. I had to get extra cheese, cause it wasn’t very cheesy & lacked flavor terribly. The food was not hot..it was warm.
My husband ordered a wrap. He said his was good, but his meat was OVER seasoned.
Our mozzarella sticks weren’t hot either, just warm.

Ordered takeout from Maquet’s Rail House and it was delicious. The Rail House Burger was huge and full of flavor. The buffalo chicken horseshoe was amazing. I will definitely be back!

It was our first time trying Maquet’s Rail House and it was DELICIOUS! We cannot wait to come back and try different things. The tenderloin was perfectly crispy and well seasoned but my favorite thing was the quesadilla with fresh chicken and a bunch of tomatoes. Another person in our party tried the pizza and had a lot to take left over. The pizza was $16 for that whole thing pictured which is a steal! You pay more at other places nowadays! we will definitely be back again! Can’t wait to try something new and service was great.

They do need to have more bartenders during the day, but otherwise everything is on point. Food and beverages were good and plentiful. But they definitely lack staffing for the main bar. One bartender for the entire restaurant is probably not enough. And it’s been this way for quite a while. But will definitely return.
