Not sure why most of Popeye’s reviews are bad, but the bad reviews haven’t typically been a regular experience for my family. We’ve previously ordered from Popeye’s and have always loved the food. We just haven’t been here in a long time since it’s not close to us, but my mom said that this location looks the cleanest, which is definitely a serious critique knowing how serious she takes cleanliness.

The employee who took our order did her job, made sure we weren’t waiting on her (even though we took forever to finally order), asked us what we wanted, asked us what flavor sauce we wanted, and made sure we ordered everything that we wanted. In the past we typically just got the original chicken so we didn’t know what sauce to choose. The employee told us that she would give us the classic sauces and ended up giving us plenty to try, which she didn’t have to do but was really appreciated.

We checked our order and made sure that everything was there since it was a $60 order. The chicken doesn’t look old or uncooked and everything looks fresh. The large fries are already half eaten in the photo, but that’s just how good and excited my family was to have the fries.

You’re not going to get Michelin star quality food because it’s fast food, but nothing was too greasy, plain, under or overcooked, or not enough portion. Everything was here and we appreciate the good Popeye’s chicken.

I’m simply frustrated with this Popeyes on Northfield Rd. It’s nobody’s fault but mine because I continue to give this place a chance. I want to support the business but today I can say I give up and will be driving all the way to Macedonia when I want Popeyes. I ordered online due to many times I’ve come to the drive through and was told “we’re only taking online orders”. This was 10/29/25 and my order was placed at 7:53pm. Mind you, I was four cars behind when I placed the order. It took me 30 minutes to get to the order window after telling them I had an online order. When I get to window I’m asked again my order name then was told to pull up. I literally waited another 30 minutes, no lie I got my food at 8:53 pm! While at the window for a brief time, the employees were arguing. Everyone was all over the place, and nothing was getting done. I attempted to go into the restaurant, but the door was locked. When I finally got my food, the order was completely incorrect. I got the 4 peice meal. I ordered 2 wings 2 breast with the up charge for the breast, mashed potatoes as my side. Also ordered was a large macaroni and cheese which was over $7. In the bag was a brest a wing, a thigh, and a leg. Plus I had a small macaroni! I have my receipt and I took pictures. I lost money, that is the part that makes me the most angry. I do work for my money and like to get what I pay for. I understand times, and that everything might take a little longer, but losing money is the last straw for me. I will be better off driving a little farther to get what I ordered and have that order be right. Highly disappointed and annoyed.

I was not given fresh hot chicken at all. I ordered the lemon pepper boneless wings and they were almost inedible. I really should have returned them and asked for a refund. They were so dried out and tough that I could barely chew them. They also were cold. I think they left the chicken sitting out all day and just served me whatever was left over sitting under the heat lamp. The food tasted like it could have been days old. I blame myself for coming to this establishment. I should of known better. Popeyes does not care what slop they serve to people and the quality is so bad it doesn’t justify the prices. This was just terrible.

This was the first time I have been here in a while. For a Tuesday special, and I’m letting you know. I will never be back ever again. To any popeye’s restaurant, a tuesday special is now two dollars and ninety nine cents when it started at ninety nine cents.I know for a fact that it only costs thirty cents per piece of chicken.Because my cousin used to be a manager.There and two ninety nine is no type of special.There’s nothing special about paying a dollar fifty per piece of chicken, not to mention that the pieces of chicken have gotten even smaller, and they don’t even give you the whole thigh, like they used to, in the legs are about as little as a drumstick for a wing.I will never be back because I could have went to giant Eagle or had AV8 or something with black money. I’ve just make my own from here on.I will never be back in that restaurant at two ninety nine is not a special, it’s a robbery

I would give them a zero if I could. First initial walk in of opening the doors the smell of Marijuana was so strong. Walking up to the counter the employees ignored us for about 2 minutes until one came over and rudely said they were not taking walk inns. Nothing posted on the door how can you let customers walk in and turn them down for service not a good impression for a business would definitely not stop at that location on way thru again.

I orderded the 6 dollar deal the 3 piece tenders with fries, Mac and cheese and a pie. Waited 40 min and never got my food!! I waited my whole lunch and had to leave because my lunch was over and I couldn’t wait anymore for my food. I contacted customer service and the gave me a $10 coupon. I went back at 3pm and placed the exact same order. I waited another 30 min and never got my food while 3 cars behind me got there food. Completely unacceptable and would give a negative star rating if possible.

Horrible! This Popeyes needs a new team of staff! Highly unprofessional and rude! Orders are always wrong. I had to drive back to the Popeyes after my order was wrong and the two woman that worked New Years Eve around 6pm were extremely unprofessional and didn’t give me over 6 pieces of chicken that I paid for and accused me of lying. Said they were ready to close and wanted to take the remaining chicken with them. I will be posting about this on social media and will be sending my videos to corporate. Also, give me my money back! Should be 0 stars

Something has to change with this door dash crap . There’s no way I drive to come buy food and get turned around because they doing door dash and can’t take my order . This is nonsense. Door dash has to come pick up others food . If she can get on the mic to tell me that , she can take the order .
