WOOOAAAAHHH!!! This place is legit! They make their noodles in-house and the ingredients are mega fresh. My family was very happy eating dinner here tonight. I highly recommend. Kevin as our waiter and he was very knowledgeable of the menus items. We drove an hour to this location from Bel Air Maryland. I included photos from my visit.

After being disappointed that the place next door was closed, we waited around to be seated, per the podium sign, as no one greeted us after 3-5 minutes we meandered into the restaurant and sat at the bar/counter seating. I felt the seating sat a little low in comparison to the counter/bar height.
Once our server appears, takes our orders, the food arrives beautifully displayed, I only wish it tasted it as good as it looks.! Not the worst ramen house I’ve been to… With that said, Mediocre ramen at best.

I walked in and waiting 20 minutes without being greeted, I felt.. frozen because the sign at the host stand explicitly says to wait.. after I got fed up I walked in and sat myself, after another 15 minutes I was finally greeted and my order was taken. The food came out in about 5 minutes, granted I was by myself and order one item and it was dead. Beautiful presentation, tasty broth, everything was good. I wish the noodles tasted better, I won’t be coming back but it was ok. To me not worth the 18$ I paid

Very good Ramen. We went on a busy Friday night and had to wait a bit, but not long (~20 minutes). I really enjoyed the Vietnamese Banana Coffee. Servings are super generous, I couldn’t get more than 2/3 the way through.

The food and ambiance were amazing. My boyfriend and I were in from out of town and this was my favorite experience eating Japanese food by far. Kat was especially helpful with all of our questions, recommendations and is overall a wonderful soul. Kat made our experience so unique and made us feel right at home- she made our day! We also loved the interior design of the restaurant, everything from the interior, to the food, to the staff was so tasteful here! Can’t wait to come back some day

BRING THE OLD NOODLES BACK!
The new noodles are mushy and plain! The old noodles had a better firmness & texture. Honestly that’s what made Issei stand above the rest and justify the cost.
Also, not sure if the meat changed too? This time it was tougher and chewier.
Apologies in advance, but until they bring back the better noodles, i will go elsewhere for ramen that is under $19.

We were delighted by the Kyuri Sumonomo – the freshness of the cucumber and the delicious bright flavor makes for a memorable appetizer. Issei Noodle is a unique downtown Lancaster restaurant definitely worth trying!

This was a delicious first meal in Lancaster. Upon entering, the staff were super friendly, getting us a table right away. The menu was varied, the portions were well sized and the noodles in particular were house made, which i particularly enjoyed. Great place to have a drink and some noodles with friends for a decent price.
