I am not too familiar with Allen Park, but my friend suggested this restaurant while we were in the area and it did not disappoint! Glass Onion Griddle is a family restaurant true-and-true as the staff welcomes you like family and their food is made fresh with quality and filling portions! I have been here twice, and was so impressed to see the owners that were so hands-on with all areas, that is great to see! It can be busy on the weekends, but they were very quick with getting us a table. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles!

My wife and I had breakfast at Glass Union Griddle on Sunday, and WOW—hands down the best breakfast I’ve had in Michigan. Every bite was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and absolutely unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm, the food was next-level, and the experience was perfection from start to finish.
Huge thank-you to our server Melissa for her amazing service and genuine hospitality—she made our visit even better. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and GO. This place is a breakfast experience you’ll want again and again!

My mother and I stopped in on a Wednesday. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful when we mentioned it was our first time there.

I’m so bummed we used to love this restaurant but the last few experiences we haven’t had great customer service, and this last experience today was my last time ever going there. I ordered a Benedict to go and when I got home I realized they forgot to add hollandaise sauce, which is the most important part of a Benedict. I called and kindly let them know and she said “I’m sorry it’s sitting right here if you wanna come back to pick it up”. I just wanted them to remake it for me since hollandaise sauce gets thick and is hard to reheat but I said sure. When I got there I asked if she could reheat it (I assumed over the stove, properly) but she instead threw it in the microwave and what I got back was so disgusting I couldn’t even eat it. It had separated and looked like scrambled eggs it’s so frustrating because if I’m paying $15 for a simple meal I just at least expect it to be done correctly. I didn’t even go back into the restaurant because she was already annoyed with me and when I apologized for being so annoying she said “it’s fine” with an attitude. Like you’re the one that messed up? lol So very disappointing experience and I will be ordering my Benedict from elsewhere or honestly make it at home

My friend and I went here for breakfast on two separate occasions during a recent business trip to the area. The servers were friendly, greeting us as soon as we entered. As it wasn’t too busy, they had us pick any open table. The menu has many of the standard breakfast fare of items. I chose fairly traditional items – scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, potatoes, toast, pancakes, and biscuits with gravy. All were brought out quickly, hot and fresh. Everything was good tasting, noting over the top, but well-executed. I will say that the side of biscuits with gravy was a bit different than I used to receiving. I was just one biscuit, with a brown-ish gravy….not the typical creamy sausage gravy. The flavor was OK, but not something I’d try again. Overall, a good experience. Fast and friendly service, at a good price.

First time coming, got seated right away. Super nice people. Food was actually really good. Nothing to be amazed about but it’s still really good! Prices are good as well! The coffee is fresh and delicious. My favorite things were the sausages and potatoes. I defiantly recommend coming and will be going back!

Very cozy and welcoming environment. Entire staff made us feel like they enjoyed us being here! Jess took great care of us and even made sure to save us a little extra on our bill. And most importantly, the food was great! I’m a pancake and Blood Mary snob, so I highly recommend them both (the stack with fresh berries is chef’s kiss!). Will gladly be coming back!
