Seriously so good! Ive been a couple times now. Great lunch special. The house vinegrette is GOD TIER. They do breakfast/brunch on yhe weekends. The Pabellon Arepa (pictured) was so filling and the meat is flavored and juicy.
Sometimes the beans and sides haven’t been fully warmed but theyre delicious so they get a pass. Ive had speedy service but also had to wait a bit but again, well worth it. I often visit at odd times so I chalk it up to that as well.

The food was excellent, very fresh and cooked to perfection with abundant portions! I had the
“LLANERA AREPA (GF)”:
Stuffed with *Steak, Avocado and Fried Cheese, served with a side of Guasacaca sauce (avocado, herbs, vegetables, garlic, lime juice, vinegar) on the side and Crispy Yucca! I also had an order of Sweet Plantains that were delicious!
My drink was perfectly sweet like I like them I had the “Spiked Cepillado”: Icy passion fruit and grenadine slushy drizzled with sweet condensed milk and topped with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum for a bold, boozy finish.
Highly recommend it! Plenty of gluten-free options to choose from!

Our party of eight showed up at an odd time (around 3pm) on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner and we were treated exceptionally well. Our server Michele P was on top of things with great recommendations, quick service, and a friendly smile/positive attitude. I regret I didn’t take photos of the scrumptious food, but one drink (see picture) really stood out to us (we had a total of five of them at our table because everyone liked it so much)–I don’t remember its name, but it had passion fruit and rum in it. SO DELICIOUS!!! The food was a big hit, too, especially the sampler platter, sweet plantains, and a variety of arepas. The value was exceptional–tons of food at a very reasonable price. Easy parking (large lot). We’ll definitely return!

A few weeks ago, I visited with a friend. I had never had Venezuelan cuisine before, and our server was very helpful with describing some of their specialties. Everything was flavorful, including the rice and the beans –and normally I’m not a big fan of beans. There was plenty for tasty leftovers. My friend enjoyed her steak and onions. They have a screen that shares fun facts about Venezuela and other South American countries, which was interesting to view while waiting for our food.

I’ve been a big fan of La Taguara for years. My first visit to the Crossroads Dr location was just as satisfying as the East Wash location. I’ve only ever ordered the Pabellón. I decided to be a rebel and ordered the Pabellón wrap – it was FANTASTIC! It was less expensive than the Pabellón and it came with delicious fries and pink sauce. The person who decided to put all the ingredients of Pabellón into a wrap is a genius. The plantain was such a lovely contrast to the rice, beans and meat. So many tasty textures in one ginormous wrap. My husband got a beef empanada and the Pabellón. The empanada was so simple and perfectly fried. Whatever housed the ground beef in the empanada was unbelievable. Crispy and a little crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. We suspect it was corn-based, but it was amazing whatever it was. We didn’t visit the bar, but I think this place would be rad for watching the Packers and getting a delectable dinner or lunch. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff were very welcoming. And speedy. We were hungry and the food was fast and flavorful. While I love the quaint atmosphere of the East Wash location, this one is my new jam. And I will definitely go back!

I usually have lunch at the original La Taguara location on East Washington but I was in the area close by and wanted a small early lunch . I love the food these guys do . It has always been consistently good and while it looks simple it packs a big flavor .
The empanadas with beef are my favorite and they are gluten free too . Their version of guasacaca sauce has so much flavor and works perfectly with the empanadas. Side of fries are just enough to make this portion a great sized lunch .
Keep up the good work and providing good food like this !

We finally checked out this location, and I was excellent! The empanadas were amazing. I especially found the ground beef ones to be amazingly well seasoned. The cuban sandwich was very satisfying. The lunch specials are such great deals! Even the Caesar salad was good and not over dressed. The use of the old Pizzeria Uno was wonderful. This place is a local gem!

Absolutely love going to La Taguara! This was our first time going to this location and it was just as lovely as the first location on East Wash! Our server was Orlando (I believe that was his name, I’m not great at remembering names) and he was great! Very friendly and patient while we took our time to decide what we wanted to eat, he was also very attentive throughout the meal so we never had to wait for anything we needed! We decided to get the sampler platter first so we could try a little bit of everything on the appetizer menu, it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious but we especially loved the mini arepas, the Venezuelan cheese sticks, and of course the beef empanadas! It was also nice to be able to try a few of the sauces that we had never had before! Afterwards I got 3 big empanadas for my meal, one bean and cheese, one beef, and one shredded chicken, every single one of them was as good as I always remember them to be! We really love the guasacaca sauce, it’s delicious on anything you put it on! My husband also really enjoyed his chicken arepa and beans & rice as well! Very good portion sizes with plenty to bring home for later! Also very affordable for all the food you get! We can’t wait to go back and try their breakfast menu that they have from 9am-3pm on Sundays! I highly recommend trying this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food in a great atmosphere!

Five stars! This was my first time at La Taguara Bar and Grill, and I was blown away by the food and the atmosphere. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented. The arepas were freshly made, stuffed with tender, perfectly seasoned fillings, and the yuca fries were crispy on the outside, soft inside, just right. I can’t recommend the pabellón criollo enough—it’s comfort food at its best!
What really made our visit exceptional was our server. He was super chill, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy sharing his knowledge about the menu. We had a ton of questions since some of the dishes were new to us, and he explained everything clearly, even offering suggestions based on what we liked. His recommendations turned out to be spot on!
If you’re curious about Venezuelan cuisine or just want a great meal with a relaxed vibe and friendly, helpful service, La Taguara should definitely be on your list. We’ll be back for sure!

Highly recommend for everyday dining as well as hosting large groups for friends/family or professional groups! I had a 12-person adult bday party, made a reservation in advance, and the service, food and ambiance were all amazing. Our group had various dietary restrictions, and the staff were really kind and accommodating. Very efficient service, reasonably priced, and all the guests loved their food. LOVE supporting a locally owned business. They even worked with us to do separate checks table side. Highly recommend for large groups!!!
