One of our favorites for breakfast, can’t beat their breakfast burrito! Great place with good prices, great staff and service, delicious food. Fun atmosphere. Parking can be quirky, but don’t let that stop you.

Well my fellow truckers, you know how we pride ourselves on finding the very best places to eat in the USA. Well here’s one for your top 10! The food is delish and cooked to perfection. Kristy was so enjoyable as my waitress and her attention to detail excellent. The portions are trucker size! Yes!! You’ll want to eat it all but like me,although I tried,
I couldn’t. Food was sooo good I got some to go. We don’t often get food this delicious. So add this to your top 10!! An absolute must! And it’s only a mile or less west of I69 on hwy 6 in Waterloo Indiana. Thank you Kristy! And the chefs perfectly made meal

Route 6 Diner in Waterloo is a wonderful small-town spot that feels like stepping back into a simpler, friendlier time. The food is fresh, hearty, and made with care just the way diner meals should be. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, making everyone feel like a regular.
The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic, with that classic diner charm that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a slice of pie, Route 6 Diner delivers comfort food and hometown hospitality every time. Highly recommend!

I hardly give reviews. Most dining establishments aren’t worthy and I’m not going to spread negativity. As an otr truck driver it’s very difficult to find a descent meal in any state. I ordered the farmers omelet and a side of sausage patties. The only thing hotter than my breakfast? The waitress! Gorgeous is an understatement. Food portions are huge and fresh. I will be back every chance I get. I wish there were more places like this. Truck parking seemed to be plentiful as well.

What a nice little local own diner. Clean and cute, with decorum and merchandise for sale.
I parked here for the night, and I wanted to get in the diner before they closed because I saw good reviews, so I’m mosier on in for some supper.
They serve breakfast all day and night, well when they’re open, but I opted for a chop steak and mashed potatoes with the side salad.
The chop steak was HUGE! And the mashed potatoes? Out of a box? No sir-ee bob! REAL mashed potatoes, and according to my server, it was her “gramma’s secret recipe”. Boy were they good.
My server was super sweet and super nice and checked on me while I was there. Everything came out hot and fast.
Glad I stopped here for the night, and I’m glad I ate here. I wish I could have breakfast at this place in the morning, but I’ll be gone before they even open.

Food poisoning. Skeevy vibes, next owner will be better. Not that lady. I can upload the script from Kendallville ER if you want to know what you will need. Charcoal fixed the food poisoning, then two days of clear liquids. Had to get a script for antibiotics to cure the antiparasitic situation. Wait for the next owners, this place turns over pretty often!

Excellent food and the service is fast and friendly. Don’t expect much with the atmosphere, it’s just an old truck stop but for a great meal at a great price, it’s the place to go.
I’ll definitely be back

Real good food & service…. and truck parking! They will be paving the lot; currently it’s gravel, but not bad. Easy access off 69. Prices were very reasonable too. Breakfast “all day”. Got a big plate of good food for $11.99. I’ll be back often. I’ll happily support a place like this over the big chains any day!

Usually have lunch on Fridays with their fish special. The 2 pc with 2 sides is an adequate lunch with multiple side offerings.
