Trying to call Mr. Don’s to ask a question or to report a problem about your order is impossible. They either don’t answer at all or the phone is always busy. I needed to ask if they’d recently changed the supplier of their plant based “chicken” patty because it looks completely different (change in shape and texture) from what I’ve ordered and received multiple times in the past. I also tried messaging them a picture through Facebook messenger but didn’t get a reply there either. Very disappointing.

I was on 94 coming from Grand Rapids to Jackson. I decided to stop here. I got a double hamburger ketchup, mustard and pickle. The burger was extremely hot and fresh. A little light on ketchup and mustard. But over all good. I also got an order of onion rings. Also hot and fresh very good. Except for like most drive-through places. I asked for catchup and never got it. But for the most part, I give the food a 9 And the service and 8.

If you’re in search of a great counter service restaurant then you should stop at Mr. Don’s. The service was exceptional. Food cooked fresh & hot & very tasty. Very roomy restaurant with lots of seating. My husband said the Olive burger was fantastic as well as the fried chicken strips basket!!

Absolutely fantastic little diner! The buffalo ranch chicken sandwich was divine. The atmosphere took me back in time and a brought a smile to my face swinging in the swinging chairs…why did these disappear from restaurants? Loved it, will come back when we return for another visit. 10/10 highly recommend!!!
