Pizza is amazing honestly. If Dave portnoy came here he would give this place a solid 7.5 to 7.9 it’s not in the 8s. But it’s definitely worthy of a try. I’ve eaten NY pizza since I was a kid all the time. This pizza really reminds me of ny pizza in a way. The taste is nostalgic. Atmosphere is eh. People are friendly here and serve you without attitude. I’ve come here so many times and I have never been let down on a regular cheese slice. Come here is you want to experience a subtle taste of what ny pizza can taste like!

I decided to try this place after hearing good things from a few people. When I called to place an order, the lady on the phone told me they require payment over the phone to confirm the order and wouldn’t take it otherwise. I mentioned that I would be coming in shortly and preferred to pay in person, but she still declined to take the order without upfront payment. While I understand policies, it was a bit inconvenient.
When I arrived, however, the lady at the counter was very sweet and helpful. She took the time to help me choose the right items, which I appreciated. I ordered the Spicy Alfredo Pasta with chicken, which comes with salad and bread. The food was ready in about 15 minutes.
The salad was very basic, but since it was complimentary with the dish, I have no complaints about that. Unfortunately, the pasta itself was extremely salty — both the sauce and the chicken. I was really looking forward to it, hoping it would stand out compared to other Italian places I’ve tried, but it was so salty that I couldn’t eat it and ended up throwing it away.
For a $20 dish, I expected much better quality. Overall, very disappointed.

We came here for dinner after a long drive back and we’re not feeling cooking. There were a few people in the restaurant waiting for their orders. It was clean, so clean the mop and bucket were left in the middle of the room. It didn’t take long to place our order. The mozzarella sticks came out first, they were hot and fresh, but when you bit into it there was no cheese pull and were very bland. The marinara was also very bland. The wings came out next and initially they were very dry where I went and asked for additional sauce. 1 guy was very nice, I’m guess the boss while a young man complained so the first gentleman just did it. They use franks red hot and was hoping for somethkng more housemade for the wing sauce. The pizza is super greasy and very basic.we appreciate them accommodating our request of half cheese and half pepperoni, but might need to work on fractions and what does half look like. Would be great hangover pizza it you don’t care about flavor. To cook the pizza they use a timer, and then pull it out regardless, which we found odd. The plates we were given were paper and the grease went through and was on the table. Our kids loved it but they enjoy pizza from anywhere. Not sure we would be going back. They do not serve any alcohol so to come here and watch a sports game with some friends wouldn’t include a beer.

We just left there and got home to find the food is horrible! The pizza was so greasy, we ordered half pepperoni and half pineapple, we got a whole pepperoni with pineapple on half. The pineapple wasn’t cooked/hot. The crust cpuldnt withstand the grease. The wings are not what we ordered, and they’re dry/overcooked. I ordered that Asian style wings, got some kind of Franks red hot wings med to hot. We live up the street and we’ll never go there again. Not sure how they’re still in business honestly. Should have taken it all back, but they close at 9pm, so…..should have read the reviews before we went!! It was $45 for their smallest pizza and 10 wings, plus the “obligation to tip”, even though im picking it up, etc it was $50! Foe 2 people. What a Rip off.
I will say though, the place was clean. Maybe because there’s no one in there to dirty it.

We just happened to drive by and see Dons and stopped in. It was fantastic, the food was delicious and quick. The manager Antonio was so welcoming and helpful. My son dropped his ketchup and antonio cleaned it for us with a smile. The overall experience was so good, we will be back again! Antonio and the staff made the experience a 10/10

I have been coming for years but something seemed off, starting with the phone call. Come to find out based on others reviews, I had no idea its under new ownership, not sure when this happened but the claim is, they kept the same recipes and quality and menu is the same…NOT!!! first off the pizza roll is NOTHING like it was before and quite honestly, it was disgusting and gross. It was sooo oily, wasn’t cooked through AND it wasn’t even shaped the same. Nothing about it was right, and I was sooooo looking forward to it. The wings I asked for saucy and after I got home, was disappointed in the lack of any sauce. Wings tasted the same as before but this time oh so dry. The pizza was also very greasy and was flippy more than normal but the ends didn’t seem cooked enough. Also, a training session seemed to be going on because some guy was teaching another guy how to make a pizza roll, and they still didn’t get it right. Management if they were there, never addressed us and seemed to not notice we were there. I am not impressed anymore and to get pizza, wings and the pizza roll was over $70…say what? I just cannot like and I won’t be back!

This pizza was so tasty and good. I went here after work to bring dinner home for my family. Authentic NY Pizza Place! Nice and friendly staff. Kid friendly! I will be coming back really soon. My family loved the pizza!

I stopped by here after the 13-hour work shift, I went in. I ordered a pizza some wings about an hour of waiting and trying to keep myself awake, I was finally asked what my name was because I was sitting there alone, I told him my name and “oh yeah it’ll be a few minutes is what they said” a few more minutes is what they should have said, well, the foods smell great on the way home but unfortunately New York style pizza,{incidentally, $4 for maybe six pepperonis?} should not sit on top of an oven to keep warm for an hour because wings got lost or whatever happened actually. Actually the whole order happened to have gotten lost. I guess cuz half of it was one place. The other half was somewhere else, I don’t know, questioning my return, here’s a picture of how busy they were, find the pepperonis if you can, I had a hard time

We really enjoy good pizza and i wish we had more quality pizza here in AZ but many in Az think Pizza hut is legit, like the folks in Iowa that think Taco Bell is authentic mexican food. Having eaten NY pizza in NY, this is banging! You know you have great pizza when every person eats every bit of crust with fresh slices still in the box. Their bread is awesome, which makes a great pie. Cheese seemed legit and the sauce was great.
