This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and it still does not disappoint. We started with the charred octopus as an app. The flavors were on point and great presentation. For dinner I went with the scallops and shrimp, my wife had the Wagu ribeye special. Both plates were perfect, neither of us would have changed a thing. For dessert we had the peach bread pudding. Great dessert to finish that dinner. Well definitely be back!

Hearthstone Restaurant in Breckenridge is truly exceptional. The food is absolutely to die for — every dish feels carefully crafted, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. I honestly don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu.
The setting is just as stunning as the food. With views looking out toward the ski runs and that cosy mountain atmosphere, it feels special from the moment you sit down. It’s the kind of place I would happily come back to a million times over.

Hearthstone is one of my wife and I’s favorite places to visit when we come to Breckenridge. Food has always been outstanding, but I also love the way that the staff engage with guests. My wife and I own 33 restaurants so we know the difficulties that fine dining pose to operators, and Hearthstone is first class all the way. On our most recent visit I got to chat with Eric the General Manager and server/assistant manager Santiago. Both were top notch. We will see you guys next year!

Rating based on overall food. The service and atmosphere were outstanding. Our server couldn’t have been better. One of our cocktails was incredible, the other was not. As for the food – One of the appetizers, the beets, was perfect. However, our entrees were extremely mid. The special menu lamb shank was described as “fall off the bone tender”. It was not. I couldn’t cut it off the bone with a knife and it was rather hard to eat. The sides served with this dish were pretty good, but should’ve been better. The salmon dish was also pretty ok. For the price, we would expect a far higher level of quality control, better plating, and probably just better food.

We had an incredible dining experience at Hearthstone while visiting Breckenridge. I ordered the lamb and my husband had the elk—both dishes were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality and thoughtfully prepared. The highlight of the night, though, was the toffee pudding—it was absolutely outstanding and a must-try. While the restaurant is on the expensive side, the quality of the food and overall experience made it completely worth it. Reservations are highly recommended, as seating is limited. We would definitely return.

Wow. This place was absolutely incredible. How more people aren’t talking about this place is beyond me. We had reservations at 8pm and had such a good time. All the staff were both incredible kind and professional. The food came out pretty fast and was super delicious. I like that they have weekly food options that aren’t on the menu so you can always get something new. The prices are reasonable for the experience your getting. To be able to eat food in an old Victorian house that feels like a fine dining experience is so great. I highly recommend coming for a date or with your girlfriends.

We had such a wonderful time and we’re so impressed with everything. Even the salt they use for their bread and butter is a smoked Hawaiian sea salt.
The decorations, lighting, etc., all just add to the already cozy yet refined vibes of this beautiful restaurant. Evenings in the fall here are for sure the move. But, I could see winter or spring being amazing here too. (with the pretty snow and the lights, or just beautiful mountain flowers)

Really enjoyed the custom cuts of rack of lamb. I’m a chef. It is nice to go to a restaurant to have something uniquely prepared. The duck had a fresh plum sauce. The skin was crispy. The English Toffee dessert was exquisite. Oh. The cheese plate was fun to eat with honeycomb, figs and cranberries.

We enjoyed the best meal of our week-long stay in Breckenridge at Hearthstone. The staff was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable with great views.
