I drove by this spot while running errands with some colleagues and decided to give this place a try for lunch.

The menu is quite extensive and offered a lot of fried options. I went for the fried clam strips with coleslaw and fries while my colleagues both ordered the lobster rolls. We also ordered a share plate of calamari and mozzarella sticks. The calamari was OK, not the best I’ve had and definitely not the worst, but nothing to really write home about. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good though. My clam strips were good too. You certainly get a lot of food with each order. I wish they would have given more tartar sauce, but I rationed. The feedback on the lobster rolls were positive.

Service was good and the restaurant itself is very casual (order at the counter). The outdoor seating area was very pleasant.

Excellent! Nice place with very friendly staff. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Clam chowder was good with lots of potato which I love. I’d never had a lobster roll so I went with warm version. It was crammed with meat and was amazing! Pretty sure it was the owner who took my order. Highly recommend this place- all the food looked great.

Pete’s absolutely knocked it out of the park. We had the clam chowder, fried pickles, warmed lobster rolls, and French fries and every single item was impeccable. The chowder was rich and comforting, the fried pickles perfectly crisp, the lobster rolls warm and loaded with flavor the roll had so much lobster packed in them, and the fries were spot-on. Not a weak link anywhere.

To top it all off, we got to meet the man, the myth, the legend… Pete himself. Super genuine, super friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. Service was fast, efficient, and welcoming from start to finish. This place does everything right. Highly recommend Pete’s is a must.

Wowwwwww!!!! A must try! We have been eyeing this spot and finally came for dinner last night and it did not disappoint. The portions were super generous and the breading on the shrimp and chicken was SOOO delicious. Everything was excellent quality and the sauces like : bbq, tartar, and cocktail sauce were all phenomenal. We sat out on the patio and had everything we needed. The staff members were kind and knowledgeable, and delivered us our food when it was ready. Really cute spot, order at the counter and take your number and find a table!
We can’t wait to come back!!

Pete’s Seafood and Sandwich is easily one of the best spots to eat in North Park. The lobster roll is the best in town, the chicken cutlet is unreal, and the Italian sandwich never misses. I always tell people — I’ve never had a bad sandwich here. Add in some oyster shooters and a large order of fries, and you’re set.
It might be a little pricey, but it is absolutely worth it. Quality like this rarely disappoints.
I actually make it a point to bring my crew here whenever we’re working nearby. When the team is grinding all day, feeding them great food is just one way to show appreciation — and let’s be honest, if you’re eating at Pete’s, that basically counts as a bonus. Morale goes up real fast when lobster rolls hit the table.
As the owner of BLING EM RIM REPAIR, a mobile rim repair and wheel repair company serving North Park and all of San Diego County, we’re constantly on the move helping dealerships, body shops, tire shops, wrap shops, and local drivers repair curb rash and damaged wheels right at their location. We often perform mobile wheel repair across the street at a local body shop, so Pete’s has become our go-to fuel stop between jobs.
If you’re searching for the best lobster roll in San Diego or a top-tier sandwich in North Park, don’t overthink it — just go. Highly recommended.

Pete’s Seafood and Sandwich in North Park brings true East Coast flavor straight to San Diego. They ship in fresh seafood from Maine multiple times a week, so everything—from the lobster rolls to the clam chowder—tastes just as good as it would seaside. Their lobster roll is easily one of the best in town: buttery, loaded with claw meat, and simple in the best way. The shrimp po’ boy is huge and packed with flavor, and even the mozzarella sticks and chili-tossed calamari hit the spot. If you’re not into seafood, the Boston Italian sandwich with cherry pepper relish is a solid pick. If you love lobster rolls and East Coast food, you need to check out this place!

If you want a real taste of New England in San Diego, this is it. My girlfriend lived in Maine for 10 years and is very picky about her seafood—she highly recommended the haddock sandwich, and it did not disappoint! It was incredibly fresh and delicious. Even though the shop was packed, the service was genuinely friendly and efficient. Definitely worth the wait for food this high-quality. A North Park gem!

First time going and honestly will be coming back! Food was awesome I ordered the lobster roll (warm) and also the double chicken parm sandwich. I’ll tell you this spot is well worth going. Food was amazing and the service was on point. The fries and onion rings were really good. I can not stress the portions are very worth the price. Lobster roll was $29 and Double Chicken Parm Sandwich was $16!!! $16 for a sandwich two people can eat from! Amazing place! Parking is pretty difficult since you have to park on residential streets, but let me tell you it will be worth the walk back after eating here!
