It’s been close to a year since last been here and since last left a review do I’m updating. I came here today january 10 2026. I admit I’m still not impressed with the food. It was a hare better than last time but not by much. I special ordered a stuffed pizza. The pizza to me didn’t taste done. Maybe it’s just me I don’t know but I didn’t even finish one slice that’s much I didn’t like it. I tried other pieces off the buffet I just don’t care for the taste of the pizza I don’t know if putting special kind of sauce. Cheese or seasoning on the pizzas but it just doesn’t taste good. The fried chicken seemed good that’s all I ate and the sides. Salad bar was pretty good that’s a plus and I did like the dessert pizza . Overall it still wasn’t the best I think I’m done coming here sorry pizza ranch but for as much as I paid for the buffet I was t satisfied

We came in late after a day of traveling and ordered pizzas and took leftovers to our hotel. The pizzas were delicious and my husband really liked his gluten free pizza. The staff was very friendly and accommodating since we were there close to closing time and we appreciated that. It was great being so close to our hotel too.

Buffet is always mostly empty. We came between 6 and 630 and there was no chicken or fries, very few potatoes, no breads ticks and very limited pizza. They had a hard time keeping up and it wasn’t that busy. No one ever came by to clean our table and when we were ready for dessert that was also empty. Don’t recommend unless you mostly want salad bar or plan to be there a while to wait for them to restock.

We have never been to a Pizza Ranch before. This was a great change for us from a typical fast food while driving. We happened to walk in at 1:20. According to Google the buffet ends at 2 . According to the lady at the counter it ends at 1:30. There wasn’t a lot to choose from but she did have special made a Pepperoni pizza and some chicken legs for the kids. For the 4 of us. 2 adults and 2 kids we paid a little over 50.00. It was not worth that for not a full access to the full buffet. The staff was friendly, and the area was clean. Overall, I don’t think we’d go back to a pizza ranch because of the grease from the pizza and the price.

The salad bar had stuff that was warm, and macaroni salad was sour and not good at all. I’m not really trying to run the place down, but it was just no good. Read the reviews. I wish I would have. Everything tasted bad to me. Was not happy at all.
Chicken was so overcooked and was like trying to bite through leather.. looked like it had been twice cooked. Pizza was all but nonexistent.. had very little and no me sat out while we was there. I won’t go on, it just plain was no good. Sadly, Not a Good Place!
Was nice of them to refund me, Ended up sick halfway home. Had to stop in Ottumwa to get some Peptol, I felt terrible. Ended up vomiting.. my wife kept saying I should have went to the ER.
I honestly think I’m done with all the Pizza Ranches..
SAVE YOURSELF THE SICKNESS… GO ELSEWHERE.

Had three large parties booked all arrived within the same hour. Could not keep up with food quality was horrible. Do not recommend.((pizza Ranch, possibly in the future if you have three large parties maybe close the restaurant to public)). Total waste of money!!!

My wife and I had lunch at the Mt Pleasant Iowa pizza ranch on 2/20/23. Their pink and raw chicken was not even close to fully cooked. Fortunately we checked it and dodged a case of food poisoning.

It was hard to find a clean table. The clean up crew then stepped it up and were quick to pick up dirty dishes. Good food. Wish the area around soda was a little cleaner, the floor was sticky, but that is hard with kids and others who may spill. Wasn’t asked if I wanted a certain pizza. Maybe that isn’t done anymore. Missed Garlic Cheese!

This location is an awesome place to eat. Nice selection of pizza and delicious fried chicken during buffet hours. Mashed potatoes, vegetables, and salad bar is all delicious. Coca cola products are here and some tasty raspberry tea compliments your meal. Very well priced for everything. Come and have a bite here. You won’t regret it.
