The prices were above what I would have expected but I was blown away at the precise cooking (which takes skill) and taste of the food so we will come back. The chicken fried steak and eggs were one of the best I’ve had but not the best but still really REALLY good. The English muffin I suspect was made there as it wasn’t what you normally get from food distributors like Cisco and was also very good. The hash browns were also cooked to perfection. My wife’s sandwich she enjoyed as well.

First time at US egg. The place was clean with a diner feel. The first thing that struck us was almost a fixed menu pricing.. high prices for everything even cheaper to make items priced similarly to higher food cost items. The menu structure and cost led us away from breakfast items focusing in on lunch item for better choice for dollar spent. We enjoyed the service, hamburgers and BLT. Cocktails were yummy too

Jasmine was a fantastic server.
I loved her recommendation of the half and half with protein pancakes and Santa Fe skillet. Wonderful!

In a mostly empty restaurant I was seated behind a wall. Not a problem as I was alone and planning to read but as you asked about atmosphere, there was none. My food was a little better than ok. I did not get the additions I asked for but I wasn’t charged for them. I guess that’s a wash. As a server, Sarah S was pretty bad. Clearly in a rush (again, mostly empty restaurant and I did not see her serve another table) she checked on me once immediately after my food was served. Never came back but I could see her hanging out at the host stand. I imagine she panicked when I got up for the restroom as I saw her mouth “there she is” to a person I assume was a manager. My guess is she thought I ran out. Very disappointing experience.

We arrived right as doors opened and were seated quickly, which was a great start. Unfortunately, the level of service didn’t maintain that momentum.

Our server did stop by initially with water and coffee while we reviewed the menus, but it took nearly 30 minutes and a fairly obvious wave to return and take our order. Credit where it’s due: kudos to the server for thoughtfully recommending a less expensive option to one of our diners. That honesty was appreciated.

After ordering, it was another 30-minute wait before the food arrived.

Now coffee, the cornerstone of breakfast. It was served thermos-style, which we loved in theory…until the pour. The coffee was room temperature at best. At this price point, I would expect better sweetener options (stevia, raw sugar) and coffee that is rich, balanced, and steaming hot. Instead, it was lukewarm, bitter, and underwhelming.

Seating was another challenge. Despite requesting to be seated away from the AC and front door, half of our table was hit with a gust of cold air every time the door opened. On a cold, rainy Arizona morning, this mattered. Midway through our meal, staff propped open both the entry and main doors. With outside temps around 62 degrees, it made the experience noticeably uncomfortable.

As for the food it was okay, but did not feel on par with the prices charged.

Overall, there’s potential here, but delays, temperature issues (both food and environment), and value mismatches held this visit back.

After being told there was a 45-60 minute wait at OBH, my boyfriend took us to U.S. Egg in Scottsdale. Although there was not a wait, there was one with receiving our food. We heard our server tell another table that “the kitchen is backed up.” About 35-45 minutes after ordering, we received our food. My eggs Benedict and hash browns were lukewarm and the hash browns had no crisp to them. It was almost as if they’d been warmed in a microwave. It was definitely not worth the $17. My boyfriend and his daughter’s food were hot, but he was not satisfied with the chicken fried steak. I also had asked our server for a cup of ice, twice, and I never received it.
If ever try this location out again it will be for lunch.

Breakfast was at least was ok.

Service wasn’t the best.

Attitude towards me was very obvious as the issue..

Although the atmosphere was good.
Wouldn’t want to have a repeat of the same thing.

Management was very pleasant towards me.

Thank you

Great cool Sunday morning breakfast. Food was excellent, service was good, atmosphere was quite. Lot of food for the portion size. Kind of pricey for breakfast, but then everything is now.
