This place is a MUST VISIT! The food is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the Ropa Vieja and the Cuban sandwich. The coconut mojito is also delicious!
Portions are generous.
The vibe is very chill and eclectic.
Great background music. Outdoor patio is enclosed with heaters if necessary. Prices are very reasonable.
You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to go back. They also have a second location, but we didn’t get a chance to check it out on this visit.

Was great getting to visit Cubo de Cuba for the first time located on Hawthorne street which has been in business for over 15 years now in Portland. Whether you enjoy your food indoors or outdoors, this restaurant gots ya covered. The ambience was awesome, the service was great, and the food was delicious! I ordered their Pan con Pollo sandwich y Sweet Potato fries. Gracias de nuevo equipo de Cubo de Cuba, for such a wonderful Latin Caribbean experience. We are so looking forward to our next visit with you all.
If you’ve never tried comida de Cuba, you should put it on the calendar and totally give them a visit and support your local Latin businesses. No need to purchase a plan ticket, this Cuba is just down the road.

Delicious cuban food and clearly marked vegan options! The vegan Portland plate comes with an interesting side salad that has cucumber, mango, and lime. We ordered a plate with yucca fries (recommended) and a soy picadillo empanada. It was the right amount of food for two people with a light appetite.

Cubo has amazing food and friendly staff!! I love their Havana bowl with mango and avocado. They have the best ginger lemonade; that tastes better than any store bought soda. With their wide range of dietary options, it’s the perfect place to grab a meal with friends.

I was in town for business and came across this amazing place—and I’m so glad I did! I was seriously craving some home-style cooking, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. It was 100% worth the 35-minute drive from Vancouver, WA. The food was delicious, comforting, and clearly made with care. The service was fantastic, and you definitely need to check out their happy hour—great drinks and great vibes. When I’m in town again, I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience 🙂

Great food, definitely should get the bowl more so than the plate for your first time. The bowl lets you taste their whole range of offerings better and is just the right amount to get you full but not overly full.
The meat was really flavorful as well and having tried only a limited amount of Cuban food, i thought it was pretty good. Came here for lunch but i can definitely see this place be an amazing spot for dinner and drinks during the night. The place has a nice feel to it and has a great atmosphere. If you like outdoor seating this is a great place, however just know that isnt very “indoor” since it is very much an open door restaurant. The service was a bit eh, wish it was a bit better. It was a bit hard to overlook as the attitude of the person taking our order was a bit of a turn off, but it was a hot day so i honestly dont blame them. Either way great place will definitely come again hopefully at night to see how this place is and it is a great spot for delicious Cuban food.
