This food was nasty. I spent I think like over $60 for oxtail plate with extra sides. Yams were ok oxtail was tender but lacked season. Green beans were good and so was the potato salad. The meatloaf was disgusting! So nasty!!!! Mac n cheese tastes like box with added cheese. Nasty!!! Mustard greens were the worst! Horrible!! They fell all the way off

I’ve eaten there several times and will again. The food is fine. Not bad at all. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s still enjoyable in my opinion. I appreciate it’s a bunch of grandmas in the back cooking. That’s what I want to see in a soul food restaurant. One thing you have to try is the peach cobbler. It is amazing. The best thing in there I think. If you ever go there and they haven’t ran out, definitely get that!

Tried This Place More Than Once & Everytime It’s A Fail But This Time I Had To Leave A Review. Whoever Making Them Sides Need To Be Fired Because Messing Up Rice Is Crazy . Nun Of The Sides Are Good The Porkchops Ok & The Sweet Tea . The Meats Aren’t Horrible It’s Just The Way They Don’t Season Anything Hurt My Heart. Ohhh And The Sweet Potato Pie 0/10 Tasted Like It Been Sitting In A Freezer For Months… The Staff Are Friendly, Line Moves Swiftly But It’s Not Even Worth The Money I’m Sorry To Say It Because I Love To Support A B.O.B .

I’m not a big fan of soul food, only because what people consider as soul food now looks like sloop & it’s not good at all….. BUT baby, when I say this food was amazing, it was AMAZING. I got the vegetarian plate, I chose the Mac & Cheese, lima beans, greens, yams & for dessert peach cobbler. It was not over seasoned. Everything blended so well in my palate. I was more than satisfied. After several hrs, I was still full..lol

Food was hot, fresh and tasty.

I found a piece of plastic under my Turkey wing. I think it may have came from the gravy. I tried calling the business to complain about the issue or to see what type of resolution they could provide, but I didn’t get anyone to pick up. I’ll try again at another time.

Went in tonight for fried chicken, fried pork chops, potato salad, turnip greens, yams, Mac and cheese, and all was good. My plate was empty. Nothing was over seasoned. Just enough for a great meal satisfying and heart warming on a cold winter night. I will definitely stop again. I would take a picture but my plate was empty.

The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Its in a sketchy area so I wouldn’t stay long just took it to go. Definitely worth it. One of the best soul food in Atlanta.

Walters Yall declined so bad: The customer service is horrible, i love my people but that older lady with the gray long hair (dreads i think) who always serve, is the rudest woman ever. Its sad when young ppl working there are more respectful. The food quality has gotten really poor. You served us undercooked baked chicken Saturday. Come on Walters build your brand back

This was our first visit and I wasn’t surprised. The first thing I was told, we’re closing in exactly 31 minutes!
I can read. They had food left, BUT it wasn’t appealing. The green beans were fresh out the can. My daughter call these repass beans. Their version of Mac and cheese looked like the stouffer frozen meal time. Now the jiffy cornbread was ok. I don’t eat pork chops, but that’s what he wanted. Luckily he carries his own seasoning. The young lady that took my payment was very pleasant. Will I return? Hard NO. Blessings to them.

My experience at Walters is a perfect example of when they say people don’t forget how you make them feel. I was just looking for something to take to work when my partner recommended Walters as we rode by.

Once I was in line which is set up cafeteria style, the gentlemen who prepared my turkey wing dinner were awesome! Very pleasant demeanors and portion size was great!

Once it was time to pay though, ALL electricity on the street went out!!! The young lady Mesha was on the register. She asked if we had any cash, or could cash app & unfortunately we did not.

Now here’s why I decided to review them besides for the food, she didn’t HESITATE once I told her I’d cash app her the next day. She even insisted I just send $15 (I’m sure the plate was more).

I called back the next morning to confirm her cash app and she STILL insisted I only send a tip. I sent her enough for the meal + tip. This could’ve went left so fast and easily, but because they treated us like decent human beings and NOT scum, it didn’t!!!!

It pays to treat ppl well. Figuratively and literally. The staff at Walters understand this and they EXECUTED. Please keep it up guys! We need service like this in our communities.
