Good BBQ spot, ive been skeptical for 1.5 years of stopping in and finally decided to.
1. Great seasoning on the ribs, brisket, and wings.
2. Bleu cheeses bacon potatoe salad. Actually really good and not overwhelming in bleu cheese.
3. Mac n cheese- homemade, good cheese taste and not creamy, add some pepper to set it off.
4. Ribs- fall of the bone kind, yall know i dont like that, but….they were good.
5. Crispy skin wings, smoked and good seasoning, i had to mention that again.
6. Brisket- good smoke ring, flavor was good. Could have been a little juicier, but most everyome will like it like it was.
7. Homemade pork skins- i got the butt rub ones, not my butt rubbed, just to be clear. Great pork skins!!!
Service was great and friendly staff, very helpful.
Give me try, they passed my bbq snob test.

We were driving from Florida back home to Michigan and stopped here to have a taste of some southern BBQ. I’ll tell you right now we were not disappointed.
I loved that they offered a variety of different flavored sauces at the table. And this servings, we’re a good size as well.

The food was okay. Reviews made the place seem amazing however I find the BBQ to be very mediocre. I tried just about everything on the menu and nothing really stands out. Banana pudding was also extremely disappointing, no bananas slices and only 4 wafers in a large cup. Cornbread was also very disappointing, not worth coming back to this place.

Some days, you just have the worst craving for brisket, fried okra, and Brunswick stew. Thankfully there’s Fire It Up BBQ to help you with those cravings! I’ve never had a bad meal here and it is my go to when I need some great BBQ!

The service was a little lackluster from the cashier, but the person who served us our food was friendly. The BBQ Spuds, smoked wings, chicken tenders, fries, and banana pudding were all exceptional.
However the mac n cheese was dry and barely had any cheese. It was more like mac n oil.
The fried apple pie had a burnt taste and the apples were neither sweet nor tart. I would rather the apples be sweet and/or tart, but that is my personal preference.
This restaurant is 45 minutes away from me, but the food is well worth the drive.

Really great bbq place. Clean, comfortable and delicious. I’d go and get the 3 meat sampler with wings, ribs and brisket. Mac n cheese and hush puppies with sweet tea. They have 6 different sauces but I really like the mustard and the hot or the Carolina sauce

* update, i went back and tried the brisket ruben. It was very good, the only thing was the sauerkraut tasted a little off but over all i enjoyed it! Of course the sweet tea is amazing!
I also think the coleslaw is delicious

Unfortunately the brisket was dry to me. So i just couldn’t finish it.
The pork was pretty salty so it was kinda hard to eat but it was still pretty decent in taste.
The ribs we haven’t tasted. There was a 20 min wait which was totally fine, however it ended up taking way longer so we took them to go.
Fish plate was so good! Flavorful, flakey, good golden crust. The dill tarter sauce was a great addition!!
Chicken wings were good with a crispy skin. sauces they offer with them are also great.

Fire It Up is a very good place to eat. The food was excellent. I ordered the two meat plate, with brisket and pulled pork. Granny’s mac n cheese and the crispy fried okra as my sides were perfect. Abbe at the front counter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The only reason for 4 stars on the “service” was it is a “self bus” system where you throw your trash and put your cup into a rack after eating. The reason for 4 stars on the “atmosphere” was due to overall cleanliness. It was good but could be better. The experience was a positive one for sure and I would gladly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys BBQ.

Great food. Great lunch prices. But we went on DEC 30th and it was only 56 degrees inside!!! The waitress said she had the heat on for four hours. She said it was 41 when she arrived. Obviously broken!! She said she called the owner. But where was maintenance! Absolutely no way to stay inside. Ridiculous they were open at those temps. Also, no baby changing table in either bathroom. Like what? Isn’t this standard these days? Especially if you call yourself a family restaurant. Please get a changing table and some heat.

Fire It Up BBQ is fantastic! In the 3 years I’ve known about and been to this place the food never disappoints. It is consistently delicious! I always order the ribs and when I say they are fall off the bone perfection, I mean it! It’s so surprising this place isn’t always packed because they are just so good!
