Grew up on Taco Tico then Taco Casita. Many great memories of their food…atmosphere…love it all. From the jank jukebox to the gas station quality bathrooms. Staff is always friendly. Service is fast. I have always gotten the deluxe enchilada dinner hot with large cheese dip and a mountain dew. They haven’t changed a thing about the 1980s tables and chairs…the goodwill western art…the menu….I love all of its microwaved mexican glory!!!! Everytime I visit the Haute..Its my first stop!!!

Legendary taco joint. If you haven’t been here I don’t know why you’re wasting time reading this. Get over there asap. This isn’t authentic Mexican. It’s American Mexican. This spot hasn’t changed ever. It’s delicious and spot on every time. Look at those prices! You won’t find them anywhere else. Unique and local. It’s a fav for everyone.

Love this place.
Great price and food brings back memory of childhood. Used to go to Taco Tico as a child in Indianapolis. Always 5 stars. Still going good, very busy for lunch.

This local legend is fast, tasty, and utterly unsophistocated. The counter-service Americanized Mexican menu is small, simple, and cheap. There is absolutely nothing fancy or refined about this place, and no one minds. Service is limited but almost always super friendly. Prices are cheap and portions are good. It’s not authentic Mexican, but it’s fun and delicious. I grew up on it and always stop by when I’m in town.

I have loved this food since it was Taco Tico. Food still great, service is now horrid. Constantly when buying to go, items missing or wrong. When Jerry was managing or his daughter this was unaccetable. Went from eating here 3-4 X a week to 1-2 X a month due to service.

Not a huge selection, but the food was great! The prices are amazing low and the food comes extremely fast. Definitely a good stop for college students. The corn shells for the hard shell tacos were excellent.

This is Terre Haute’s second ‘diveyist’ (is that a word?) taco joint. Sure it’s looks pretty sketchy but they always do well on health inspections. The food is cheap and fast and in no way whatsoever authentic Mexican. My only real complaint is that the default taco has a crunchy shell. Everyone knows that a taco is made with a soft tortilla, but here you have to ask for a ‘soft taco’ or you will get one of those tortilla chip like crunchy shells that break into 20 pieces as soon as you take a bite. Long live Taco Casita!

Service, food and customer service as well as over all cleanliness were very poor. I also suggest before ordering ask them if they have plenty of cheese so you don’t get a few pinches of it for 12 tacos! Very unprofessional!

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit. When I requested a change to my order due to the menu prices not accurately reflecting the total after tax, the employee at the front counter made inappropriate and unprofessional comments about me.
Additionally, another staff member in the back loudly exclaimed “Oh my God” in frustration, clearly upset at having to fulfill my order. I was then handed three broken tacos and charged for a drink I explicitly said I did not want. The food itself was subpar and overpriced, and despite asking for hot sauce, I was given what tasted like a sweet, mild version — if it was even hot sauce at all.
Overall, this was an incredibly unprofessional experience. Your staff displayed a lack of courtesy, respect, and attention to detail. I strongly urge you to address these issues immediately and consider hiring individuals who represent your business with professionalism and patience — otherwise, you risk losing loyal customers like myself.
