The first dim sum restaurant in Philly with great prices and good portions. Best dishes here was the Phoenix Bun, Stuffed Eggplant, and their Turnip Cake, but you truly can’t go wrong with any of the options.

They are known for their steamed pork buns, which tasted good, but not my favorite. I also wish they offered vinegar for the soup dumplings.

They provide you with a thorough menu with pictures and you mark which options you’d like. The service is speedy and friendly. Thee staff is fast about removing and bringing plates.

The restaurant is rather small/tight, so depending on when you come, you may need to wait a little bit or eat at the bar.

A fun part is the wallpaper in the restroom that shows different dim sum options with descriptions.

Such a great experience. The waitress (owner? manager?) was great from the time I was seated. She provided recommendations for each area, from the tea, to the dimsum, to the main dish. I have only the best to say about each dish. The sweet soy on the shrimp rice roll, the dipping sauce, the soup in the soup dumpling-each was unique and flavorful. The atmosphere was great as well, giving a relaxed vibe while enjoying my dinner.

Excellent all around!
We came here about a year ago, and were so pleased. We don’t come to Philly often, so we were excited to come back to this restaurant. We were too early, they weren’t open yet. We were warmly welcomed in before opening time, which was very nice. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Wonderful service, absolutely amazing food.
Prices are very reasonable as well.
(Ate some of the food before getting a picture lol)

Got the spicy wontons, curry beef dumplings, bao, shrimp shumai, pork soup dumplings, and shrimp bean curd tofu rolls. The dipping sauce that comes on the side is super delicious.

Food was delicious and was served quickly. The scallion pancakes are really fluffy. Highly recommend and it is great to share if you’re with a group.

The restaurant is small, there is a long booth with tables and chairs on one side, a few tables in the corner and a small bar. I walked in and was seated with no wait. They dropped off a plastic menu with pictures and an order sheet, and you checked off what you wanted. There is no talking or communication with the server. The food comes out quickly in batches. I ordered soup dumplings, which looked small but were packed full of meat and had just the right amount of soup inside, pan-fried dumplings, shrimp balls, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was very tasty.

I wouldn’t say this was the best dim sum I’ve ever had but it was good. Pricing on everything was also reasonable. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and service was very quick. One thing I will note is that they have a decent amount of vegetarian options which can be hard to find at dim sum restaurants. Everything did have flavor (the noodles were a little bland but great quantity). If I had to choose my favorite, it probably would be the shrimp and chive dumpling. My least favorite was the fried shrimp ball. It had a spongy consistency that was strange to me but again, it still was flavorful. They have a really yummy dumpling sauce and the chili oil that sits on the table was delicious as well.

Awesome dumplings better than dim sum palace – the menu is less expensive (they offer less non dim sum items) so what they offer they execute very well. The pork bun was not overly sweet or salty and was gigantic. I liked the fillings on my pork wantons chicken wantons but will get the steamed next time vs fried. The lotus leaf stuffed with sticky rice, pork sausage and shrimp was FANTASTIC. tight quarters but that’s to be expected as it’s tucked into a narrow spot on 13th right by the convention center. Atmosphere is chill, easy to have intimate discussion without being overheard. 10/10 will visit again. Great experience.

I took my boyfriend here for the first time, and he loved it. He appreciates that the menu has pictures of every dish. There are so many varieties of dim sum to choose from. Everything is wonderful and tasty, with big portions and reasonable prices. I like their sauce and hot chili oil a lot; they are sweet and a bit spicy. A must order is the pork bun and the original egg roll. So good.

Inside is a bit dark, but cozy with varieties of teas and wines decor.

The service is excellent, and the food comes out quickly. The lady there is very nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back to try more from the dim sum menu.
