Food Review – Chevys Fresh Mex (Hanover, MD)
Disclaimer: Food reviews are subjective. What I enjoy, you may not—and just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad. It simply means it wasn’t to my personal taste. With that said, here’s my review.
I ordered the Birria Quesadilla, and it was absolutely amazing. I was never really into birria until I tried it in Mexico, and this quesadilla definitely lived up to what I’ve come to appreciate about it. It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and incredibly satisfying. The consommé took it to another level and made the dish even better.
They also offer complimentary tortilla chips with salsa, which were surprisingly delicious—fresh, crispy, and a great way to start the meal.
The service was excellent. Our waiter was great, and the rest of the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit.
The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the restaurant itself was very clean, which always makes the experience better.
⭐ Overall: Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.

The atmosphere here is really good, and the food combinations you can order are honestly amazing. It took a little while to get seated, but it was worth it because the waiters were very attentive. The food was great, and overall we truly enjoyed the place.

Chevy tex mex it’s hard to find one in the middle Atlantic these days. The food is still fresh, with flavor. They no longer do the fresh guoc at your table anymore but what they served was good.the salsa and chips were OK, I like the heat.I ord the shrimp and grilled fish fajitas. The shrimp was good the Talapiia was so so.the prices are a bit high but overall good.

Chevys offers a generous portion of chips and salsa while you wait for your meal. The server was exceptional without being overbearing. We were NOT disappointed when our meal came, it tasted as good as it looked! Chevys is located inside of Arundel Mills Mall. There are tons of shops and great to get in your steps to walk off your calories.

What happened to this once phenomenal chain? Feels so depressing in there, like no life. After getting my tacos, I couldn’t help but feel ripped off after seeing I could have easily made this myself with Ortega flour tortillas and Tyson frozen chicken strips. And the audacity to charge as much as they did for that Dollar Tree quality is wild to me

Disgusting food. We ordered sat 1/17 around 8pm. When my husband arrived to pick up they were very busy, no problem. We have no problem waiting for our carry out order. The problem is that when we got home we tried to eat the chicken tostadas, (we ordered two of the Tex Mex plate that had like 4 different items) the first bite and the chicken is raw. My husband bit into the chicken wings and also RAW. we tried the fried taquitos and well, you guessed it. The pulled chicken was RAW. it was disgusting and disappointing. I had also ordered a fried ice cream and when I took a bite of it all I could taste was onions. Idk if they didn’t change gloves or just didn’t care but it was absolutely disgusting. Now here we are on Monday morning and my husband and I both have food poisoning. We’ve been throwing up for the past day and a half. Avoid this place at all costs. We will never ever be going back and yes I am calling the health department.

Me and My Family absolutely had an amazing time at Chevy’s this weekend! Our server Alex was quick annd thoughtful and though it was busy he was very attentive and of service to not just our table but all the tables around us. We will definitely be back and if you go ASK FOR ALEX!!!

Very disappointing service. The waitress only brought our food and never checked on us again. She didn’t ask if we needed anything and only came back to drop off the check. My husband wanted another soda, but no one returned, so I had to give him mine. What made this worse is that the table right in front of us received constant attention, conversation, and laughter, while we were completely ignored, come here expecting basic service, and this was unacceptable! Management needs to address this. I left a $5 tip, but the service did not deserve it!

I normally do not write reviews about any businesses. However, this experience is going to have me write the Better Business Bureau. They advertise a shrimp and crab enchilada with “succulent” crab. However, there is literally only enough crab to fit in the tip of a spoon. This is false advertising. The grilled veggies are delicious and the enchiladas are tasty. But this has me definitely writing the better business bureau. They did take this off my check. But don’t fall for this trick.
