No rules, just right. Outback is exactly as you remember it 20 years ago, just with fewer people. No wait on this random Monday night.

Seated promptly. Drinks and apps en route.

While you wait, you receive the bread course! It’s the old standby. The rock…, a.k.a. pumpernickel loaf, it comes out. Served with Creamy butter, – hot, slightly sweet bread- what’s not to love?!❤️. Pumpernickel translates to the Devils fart…really. Who knew devils fart bread could be so good!!

Then here comes the bloomin’ onion. It’s huge! It’s crispy, salty, spicy and fried onion blossom perfection. Served with a tangy, spicy sauce. The calories, listed on the menu, is 2/3 of what you need in a day! Of course, you can share it.

The steaks are stellar. The filet is tender. It was cooked a little less than ordered. It came out more rare than medium, but was seasoned and flavorful and the outer edges had a good crust/sear.

The Caesar was a thick, plastic bottle type dressing. The greens were ice cold. The croutons, dry as the Sarah and crispy.

The baked potatoes are amazing. Salty, creamy, puffy, loaded with bacon pieces, sour cream, butter, cheese and chives. The potatoes are legit.

Service was excellent. Friendly and attentive but not too much.

No complaints on food quality or service. Outback is the same as it was in the 1990s and that can be comforting…their hot new menu item was Mozzarella cheese sticks in the shape of a boomerang!

We ordered four steaks (different cuts). Only one was as ordered. 2 mediums were well done. One medium rare was rare and all were bad cuts. The waiter was great and comped our drinks and appetizer. A steak house should have good STEAKS!

It was so Amazing!!! The Hostess Mr. KENDALL was very polite super friendly and very informative…The Young Lady That waited on us was Super Sweet and very Professional, it was like she wrote the menu by the way she explained in details with any questions we had…. I would Highly Recommend And Will Return!!!

I had the pleasure of of dining at Outback tonight. When I say my service was so good I had to come make a review ! I sat in the bar area me and my family tonight a little before closing when I say my server went over and beyond I mean just that ! I ask you must love serving she simply replied no I love working for outback and it definitely showed wish I could remember her name but she is definitely somebody I would want to work for me

Even the host was great. Did not get his name.
It was veterans day and hubs chose it for dinner.
They were extremely busy. The experience we had didn’t reflect the hustle going on. They made it personal and we will definitely be going back!

I was there a few Sundays ago with my daughters and my grandson. We were seated fairly quickly but we were seated next to a big party (they had 12+adults and that wasn’t counting children). Everything was going great until this party began to wrap things up. There were numerous bill questions and then the food complaints came. The manager came out once and our waiter had to field ALL these complaints by himself. After we ate our meal it took me 45 minutes to get my check. I waited patiently because this young man was going through it and no one was helping. They complained about everything, even having to pay the gratuity because of their policy. They even complained about a person who left in their party that didn’t get their salad. I knew they took off some of the gratuity, which was unfair to this gentleman. I gave him double because of what this party put this gentleman through. He apologized profusely to me but I told him that it wasn’t his fault. Outback needs to help their people who have big parties especially if they are fielding complaints because he left us to take care of them.

Traveling on Sunday, October 11th.Found Outback through Google search. As a rule, Outback is reliable option. Our youngest son worked over decade for Outback, eventually as kitchen manager so we are familiar with hierarchy, responsibilities, and inevitable kinks. We elected to sit in bar once given 45 minute wait time, regardless empty tables everywhere – absolutely understand issues with finding reliable employees. Kitchen was out of filets, mushrooms, broccoli, chili, running low on onions, seems we received last two salads. Servers were left to deal with frustrated patrons. We ended up ordering sirloins, which were grossly undercooked. We did not complain as we have been told never return food due to potential actions of retribution by those in kitchen. As usual, bar surrounded by loyal, vocal locals. Topic of conversation centered on current restaurant manager. Per locals this location seems to have been in steady decline with current management who is never in restaurant. Apparently there are major issues needing to be addressed.

My son’s father took us out to celebrate our son’s 33rd birthday. My steak, as well as his father’s, was great. But our son’s steak,which was supposed to be medium rare, was nearly well done and had that bitter burnt taste. Not only that he received a lobster instead of grilled shrimp. The only thing right on his order was the baked potato, and the mashed potatoes for his baby daughter.
He couldn’t eat the steak. Unfortunately, he’s the type that doesn’t like a fuss and wouldn’t send it back. I had nearly 3/4 of my my steak left and put it in his to go box and took his. After eating a couple bites later
…. I gave it to the dog. She enjoyed it.
That’s the 2nd time we’ve had a bad meal there. The last time the asparagus was so salty that that was all you tasted. This will be the last time we eat there. You would think that for $178 you would get an exceptional meal. I can make make a better steak at home in my cast iron skillet and I have!

My daughter and I came here because I told her about my last visit. The appetizer, steak and cheese dip had tiny bits of steak and cheese (thick cheese) that was way too cheesy and could barely taste the steak. The chip were salty and had too much pepper. The main course was not very good. I asked a steak which had no taste. I asked for broccoli but took the offer for added cheese, which came back drowning in cheese making it salty when normally they sprinkle a little on top. Mac and cheese were cold when they brought it. Loaded potatoes had sour cream, which I stated no sour cream. My daughter had complaints as well. (I don’t eat seafood, so I can’t speak on that). We did double check to make sure they didn’t add something we didn’t order like last time.

Took a really long time to get food. Obvious that the food had set in “the window” for a while. Daughter ordered a pasta that comes with Chicken and Shrimp. We asked if she could get shrimp only. Waitress said sure. Pasta came with the same amount of shrimp that it would have came with if it had chicken too. They did not subtract any cost from the menu price. Meridian MS manages to ruin every resteraunt, does not matter how good the chain usually is. Once it settles into Meridian you will have a bad opinion of it.
For the price to eat one would expect better service and better tasting food.
