Went here last night for dinner and everything was amazing. The food was fresh, flavourful, and served at the perfect temperature. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the place was very clean and well-organized.
Special shoutout to Olive — she gave us excellent service. She was very polite, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Portion sizes were great and definitely worth the price.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this restaurant, and I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Lovely dinner last night. One cannot help but be impressed with the team of (Manager) Sara’s skillful service to a busy restaurant. The result – a flawless dining experience. Here are some excepts from last year’s review in Hamilton City Magazine “DiMario’s has been a Locust St. landmark for 25 years and transitioned to new ownership a few years ago. While many of the excellent staff remained, renewal of kitchen leadership came in the form of Chef Claudio Aprile. Readers may recognize him as one of the judges on MasterChef Canada, or may have encountered him at some point in his 30+ year international career which included renowned Toronto restaurants such as Colborne Lane and Origin.
The sophisticated, yet casual, décor provides the perfect ambiance for exceptional dining. The Italian influence is evident and clever twists take the flavour experiences over the top. The talented kitchen turns out the full range of skills and creativity… Pastas are flawless as are mains – the Chicken Piccata being a favourite. Plating and presentation trigger anticipation. I was here on Sunday night for my 42nd birthday dinner and absolutely loved everything. Our waitress was so lovely. We ordered baked shrimps for starters, LINGUINE FRUTTI DI MARE and Artic Char, all very delicious.

First time at the restaurant. We were a party of 6 to celebrate our daughter’s 51st Birthday. Great atmosphere. Shared some appetizers for the table which were incredible. Dinner choices were also delicious. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Tiramisu was best I have ever had. The service was outstanding. Truly enjoyed the total experience. A little pricey, but worth every penny.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and unfortunately, it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for. Despite having a reservation booked weeks in advance with a specific request for a booth, we weren’t given upon arrival.
To make matters worse, we watched other parties who arrived later than us get seated in booths immediately. Even with our booking confirmation in hand, our request wasn’t honored, which set a disappointing tone for the evening.
The Food
The kitchen was a bit of a hit-or-miss:
• Arancini: These were very plain; mostly just cheese and lacked any real seasoning or “wow” factor.
• Mains: The Seafood Linguine and Bolognese were actually quite good and the best part of the meal.
• Tiramisu: Very mediocre. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while and lacked the freshness you’d expect.
The Service
The bright spot of the night was our waiter, Charlie. She was wonderful, professional, and provided great service throughout the night. She did a great job, but unfortunately, the service alone couldn’t make up for the seating snub and the lackluster appetizers and dessert.
Final Verdict: First impressions matter, and based on the seating issues and inconsistent food, I wouldn’t go back.

Good food and nice patio, expect European size as per photos. It was busy and food took a while to come out – approx 1h. Had fish of the day- barramundi and steak. Overall nice, but they could do better

Had a wonderful experience for dinner with my family. I was seated promptly, although there was a slight hiccup with which server had our table at first, we were happy to get Melanie who was a wonderful and gracious server who made our dinner experience special- she is awesome. Food was amazing, ambiance was stellar and service was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend! We will be back.
