Classic Italian food in a beautiful, elegant setting.

It was my first time seeing fresh pasta made on-site, and the process was fascinating — surprisingly similar to how noodles are made in Chinese cuisine.

We ordered the mussels appetizer, pizza, and a few pasta dishes, including seafood, vegetable-based pasta, and pork pasta.
The seafood pasta was a bit salty for my taste, but everything else was solid and well executed.

Desserts were excellent — not overly sweet, which I really appreciated.
Great atmosphere, relaxed vibe, and an overall very enjoyable dining experience.

The restaurant is located conveniently within Venetian, amongst of course quite a few other Italian choices.

We went in coz we got a table pretty quickly – the dining hall itself is quite busy and packed, so you kinda get a fast casual experience unless you get a table a bit out back.

Upfront, you’ve got a bar and tables to create a bar atmosphere. The dishes are fantastic tho.

I had the Focaccina- light, creamy, simple and super unique and delicious. Other dishes were delicious too – the handkerchief pasta melted in the mouth and the Margharita pizza was perfect.

Matteo’s, tucked inside the Venetian, is a charming little Italian spot with undeniable style. The space feels intimate yet chic, featuring plush seating and a striking neon wall adorned with Italian phrases, a subtle nod to its heritage and a very Instagram-worthy backdrop.

We sampled a selection of soups, salads, and pastas, all of which were enjoyable and thoughtfully prepared. While it may not rank among the very best Italian restaurants in Las Vegas, it’s certainly a solid option, comforting, approachable, and satisfying if you’re already on property.

That said, the service left something to be desired. It was noticeably slow and lacked warmth, which slightly dulled what could have been a more memorable dining experience. Overall, Matteo’s is a pleasant, stylish stop for casual Italian fare, best enjoyed without high expectations and with plenty of time to spare.

Hands down, THE BEST italian food I’ve ever had. It was my second time coming here and I brought my husband this time for a date. We’re both vegetarians so we got the bread service, Margherita pizza and Handkerchief Pasta and we were just in food heaven!Everything was beyond perfect. Literally no notes. The servers are amazing, they check on you timely and provide refills. I also got a green tea that was freshly brewed and food was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Phenomenal is the one word that comes to mind when I think of Matteo’s. The atmosphere is beautiful, modern and inviting. The staff were professional, pleasant and welcoming. My two servers were two women (sorry I can’t recall their names) who provided 5 Star service from greetings through service and bill payment. They were attentive to my needs helping accommodate my dairy allergy. They were knowledgeable of the menu, providing great recommendations. They also were pleasant as they delivered swift service. The food was delightful. Very fresh, light ans flavorful. Aside from the bread plate, I ordered the Kale salad and Branzino. Every bite was full of flavor. I never had a kale salad like the one served here inclusive of homemade croutons, radicchio and toasted hazelnuts all mixed in with a homemade vinaigrette. The branzino fillet was prepared to perfection with light crispy skin and warm buttery soft, flaky meat topped with a Tuscan tomato, caper, black olive tomato gravy (sauce). The bread was fresh, soft and warm. The touch of crispy papadum strips provided a nice contrast to the softer breads. Overall, 5 stars is a well deserved rating.

Food was exceptional, which outweighs an overall poor experience on service and atmosphere. This place was LOUD and has a single door partially blocked by the host stand. Felt very claustrophobic and like a fire hazard. Drinks were just okay (got a whiskey sour and “new” fashioned from the drinks menu) and once our server dropped off the food they were MIA for most of the meal. But the food was fantastic. Our appetizer was a hamachi and salmon crudo which had lots of flavor and texture to enjoy, then we had the branzino with delicious crispy skin and savory tomato-olive topping, and short rib agnoletti. I could have done without the foam on the pasta, it was not appealing and didn’t have much flavor. Overall, delicious food. Maybe go on an “off” hours or day to have a better atmosphere.

Great hand made pastas 3rd visit before posting a review.Everthing we ordered was delicious and presented nicely on the plate. This is a must try when in vegas . Atmosphere is nice a little loud in the evenings but quiet during lunch. The pricing was great for Vegas but hey you don’t come to Vegas because your trying to save money ,but at least here you feel like you have gotten your money’s worth unlike a slot machine.

Matteo’s is a level above some of the other Italian offerings at The Venetian. Absolutely no negatives, each dish was special, the service attentive, friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is smart and sophisticated. It is a little exxy but you get what you pay for, and I would do it again in a flash…it was seriously good.

We were walk ins when the place was busy at 8:30 on a Friday night, and were promptly seated.

See my photos for a snaphot and description of our choices…I think I have the descriptions right. Thanks to Roberto and Leo who looked after us and were so focused on providing excellent service and enjoyable customer dining experience.

Highly recommended.

Matteo’s was my last hurrah in Vegas before heading home. I picked it because on day one I noticed a line out the door—one you’d expect for the hottest bar in town. Except… this wasn’t a bar, and it wasn’t a celebrity-chef restaurant either (at least not to my knowledge). So, what was all the fuss about?

Time to find out. My husband and I went last night, and wow—worth it. The food was remarkable, easily one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance had that effortlessly cool vibe that makes you want to linger. Bonus points for the homemade sodas—fun, refreshing, and perfect if you’re still sticking to dry January.

Now for my one but: it took a full hour for our food to arrive. And let’s be honest, no one wants to spend vacation time waiting when an entire city is buzzing outside.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely—for the pasta alone. Just maybe don’t come starving.

Business dinner that included some apps and entrees. Apps were the seafood platter and the ceviche – both were solid. Entrees included the branzino and beef short rib – these were great. Side of potatoes roasted in duck fat was another good addition.
