Great find nice set up lots of room. Staff are great. I had the Gnocchi in sage butter which I love and had elsewhere but this was disappointing. My husband liked his meal. The cheese and garlic wrapped in bread was good enjoyed that. Will go back and try another dish. It’s very hard to find good cafes and restaurants in the area. Have to travel into the city.

Last night we went to Basil & Vine for the first time for my son’s birthday. Now even before we came I had a call from Sam the duty manager to arrange a special meal for one of us as they had to have certain foods and avoid others. This was above and beyond what we expected. Sam reassured me that he would work with the chef and make something that could be enjoyed. The kindness and inclusion felt spread a huge smile on my face. When we arrived Sam let me know everything was organised and if we needed anything let him or a staff member know. All of the staff were all friendly and provided fantastic service. The chef prepared the most delicious meals for all of us. As we sat and dined and enjoyed my son’s birthday I could not help but think how lucky we were to have chosen this restaurant. They did not need to do what they did but they understood how important it was that all attendees could be included and enjoy a meal. They have exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a truly amazing restaurant this is the place to go. We will certainly be coming back. Thankyou again for all the extra effort that was given .

I always get the Italian Piatto, the Garlic Butter Prawns and the Tiramisu – they are soooo good and the Tiramisu is even better the next morning for breakfast (if you can stop yourself from eating it all hehe).
My partner loves the creamy seafood pastas and the cinnamon dippy doughs. Last night we tried the Pear and Fig Crepes for the first time and loved them !
It’s always such a lovely atmosphere there, intimate lighting and a lovely cabinet of sweet treats to choose to take away. We definitely recommend Basil & Vine as a wonderful date night location.

We celebrated my birthday at Basil and Vine and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful — but what truly made the night special was our waiter, Mitch.
Mitch’s customer service was honestly the best I’ve experienced. He was friendly, attentive, professional and made us feel so welcome. He went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration extra special, and it did not go unnoticed.

We are regulars and love it. We were there again yesterday. We were greated by the manager and lead to our table. Our waitress was very attentive and lovely. Our meals were great and we had a great time.
It can get a bit noisy when there are a few large groups in attendance.

Ordered spaghetti with meatballs for $28 and it was honestly the worst pasta I’ve had. The dish was completely drowned in sauce — far too much, watery, and poorly reduced. The pasta was lost under the sauce instead of being properly coated. When I mentioned it to the staff, I was told *“that’s how it’s meant to be.” For $28, that response is unacceptable. Very disappointing experience and I won’t be going back.
