I wanted a typical American diner experience and Powderhorn did not disappoint! Coffee and water was brought over as soon as we sat down, and our waitress was very friendly and explained a number of things to me on the menu! I had hash browns with peppers onions and sausage gravy. It was huge, and delicious! My wife had an American classic, biscuits and gravy which I tried and loved. I also had to get a pancake and tried to order two, but my wife stopped me and said one would be enough, and she was right, it was huge, fluffy and delicious! For locals I’m sure they know this place is awesome, for anyone visiting Grants Pass and want a proper diner experience I would strongly recommend this place!

If you want to take a deal from the chains this is a great option.
Food is good and portions are generous.
I had breakfast passing through and it was very good.
Friendly and prices are fair.

My husband loved his breakfast, hashbrowns with sausage gravy but mine wasn’t good, #5. The home fries didn’t have a great flavor even when I put ranch on them. The eggs were impossible to cut and the English muffin was burnt. I’m disappointed.

Amazing experience at Powderhorn Cafe & Pies! The breakfast was delicious—everything from the fluffy pancakes to the hearty omelets was cooked to perfection. The pies are simply a must-try; they are rich, flavorful, and wonderfully homemade. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. I’ll definitely be returning to enjoy more of their fantastic dishes and desserts. Highly recommended!

Downtown restaurant makes walking downtown after breakfast perfect to walk off large servings of excellent food. We experienced the same great friendly and superior service here as other restaurants in town. One difference is this restaurant feels like home. Highly recommend for breakfast.

Didn’t get the waitress’s name, but she was lovely. I just had to leave a 50% tip. She was fast, consistent, and extremely sweet. We went for my brothers birthday, unfortunately they dont have cake, but she said happy birthday and wrote it on the receipt. It was great.

I had the steak and eggs at Powder Horn Cafe and Pies and it was excellent. The portions were big, the food came out fast, and the price was honestly amazing—super affordable for the amount and quality you get. The staff was friendly and on point, with fast service and my drink never once got empty. Great food, great service, and great value. I’ll definitely be back.

I like the Powderhorn café, was disappointed with the biscuit gravy, biscuit was really good, gravy kinda bland. Sausage patty was not good, I believe it a supply issue. The sausage links weren’t good either, shribbled and over cooked. My scrambled eggs were too dry as well. On a positive note the bacon was wonderful!
I think with a few supply changes and cooking technique changes Powderhorn café could really stand out and be exceptional. We ate very little of what we ordered and paid for. I will try again after awhile. I do not like leaving reviews like this.
P. S. The coffee wasn’t good either, old and tasted badly.

My wife and I appreciate and enjoyed the ‘lite” breakfast this morning: the price and portions are perfect for us. The a
service was fast, pleasant and accurate with good attention to any follow-up needs we might have. On the downside, the hash browns, while flavorful, were neither fresh nor hot enough. Similarly, the sourdough toast was was long since out of the toaster, its temperature not hot enough to melt the soft butter that covered it. As always, the dining room acoustics resulted in reverberating the activity loud enough that patrons shout over it, making it, of course, even louder.
We will return but maybe not as often as we would with greater attention to these details.
