Actually BETTER than any Memphis location I’ve ever visited. The portions are large, the meats are tender and the front cashier is a full cutie as well as a delight to work with. I especially enjoyed the Pit Boss fries that have just the right amount of spice and gooey goodness. The pulled pork was delicious and the Corky’s sauce has a unique blend. Not a single thing to complain about here. On top of all that there is a spacious dining area with a smooth classic feel.

Been on a hunt for good ribs and have tried several different places but was never fully satisfied. Today I ordered the Rib Combo with pulled pork, a side of greens and potato casserole. To my surprise I LOVED EVERYTHING on the plate. The ribs were perfectly seasoned and tender. Greens were the best of all the other places. The potatoes was a cross between a baked potato and hashbrown (delicious). The pulled pork was so tender it was criminal. The cornbread; perfect! I will recommend Corky’s to all my guests and to anyone who is reading this review.

I finally made it back to Corky’s for the first time since about 2008! It’s been a long time, and I could definitely tell things have changed a bit since back in the day. It didn’t feel exactly like the phenomenal place I remember from years ago, but I still really enjoyed my meal.
I had the barbecue sandwich and the french fries, and they were both absolutely phenomenal. The pork was tender and the fries were the perfect side. Even though the vibe has shifted a little over the years, the food still hits the mark. If you’re looking for a solid BBQ meal in the area, it’s still a great pick!

I got the pork barbecue plate with mac and cheese and the potato casserole with cornbread and also coleslaw[the coleslaw was okay not my favorite].
And fried green tomatoes and the fruit tea. Everything was so flavorful and tasty.I’m glad they had some barbecue sauce on the table to add extra if I wanted.

They packed my order i placed online terribly. The sandwich looked inedible and there was a pickle soaked into bun. The brisket had zero smoke or flavor profile. Disgusting and soggy.

Such tender brisket is hard to find, and Corky’s nailed it!! Their sauce is the perfect blend of smoky and sweet; those hot tamales are a meal in themselves, covered in cheese, chili, and green onions; and don’t get me started on that amazing banana pudding!! I didn’t even have room to eat the cheese and pepper studded muffin, but rest assured I will get to it with my leftover meat tomorrow. And then I may come back tomorrow night!

The service: everyone was incredibly kind. We had special requests that were followed exactly and we were very satisfied with the service.
The food: I think that this establishment must have made all the meat at the start of the shift and then served it to us. The pulled pork was among the driest I’ve ever tasted. The brisket was also one of the drier ones I’ve had. The ribs were approximately as moist as the Sahara. We got them “wet”, which is the only reason we could consume them. The Mac and cheese was so delicious. My daughter thought it was so good that she asked me to try it. The baked beans are delicious and my son loved them. The pasta/spaghetti was about what you would expect from a BBQ place. The spaghetti with red sauce resembled what you would find in a lower quality MRE (meal ready to eat), and the plain pasta tasted like water even after adding salt. When I say it tasted like water, I mean that it was water logged from being either overcooked or just left in water.
I don’t recommend this establishment for Barbecue based on this experience, but this is an isolated review, and it could be better than I experienced tonight. If you care more about being treated well than having good food, this would be a good fit.

This was our first visit here on our way to the airport back home to Texas. We had to try the Tennessee BBQ, Memphis style.
I chose the BBQ Stuffed Baker and asked the cashier what he thought was better, the chicken or the pork for on top. He said definitely the pork so that’s what I went with. He said the chicken is good, but all the other things were WAY better. He was correct. The pork was very moist and flavorful.
And be sure to take a photo on the enormous chair inside. But take it from standing on a chair. It will make who ever is sitting in it look tiny!

Ribs and brisket were amazing. Service was fast and friendly and Charles greeted us happily and gave us the low down on where to sit and brought our food quickly. Onion rings were homemade and slaw and banana pudding were top notch. We will make this a regular stop on way to Florida and back.

I believe this was the best BBQ sandwich I’ve eaten in my lifetime. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious…no, perfect. It could not have been better. This was my first visit to Corky’s. Nice atmosphere. Clean, clean, clean. And great food.
