Service was quick and all was behind the counter. It’s a clean up after yourself type of place which was fine with me.
Atmosphere was stellar, you could see there was a lot of thought put into the decor of this restaurant. I really enjoyed the beautiful light fixtures all the artwork, and especially the walls that had little pieces of colorful ceramic plates embedded. I just couldn’t get enough looking around. It was really beautiful.
If we lived closer, I would definitely go back. Price is right!
I got ahold of the owner, and he said “I don’t want to lose your business, so I’m going to make this right. There will be an envelope at the store tomorrow with your name on it.” The next day, there was nothing. The next day, nothing again. I again message him, and he replies, ‘Oh sorry. I’ve been busy, but I got it on me. Hope you enjoy!’ And he sends me a picture of $25 in food coupons for his restaurant.
Insulted, I tell him I’m going to have to get a lawyer if he can’t make this right. I then have a back and forth with him over the phone trying to explain the damages this has caused me and would cause both of us if I had to push a lawsuit. He seemed rather indifferent to me, but continuously pushed his pain as a small business, asking me “what is it you even want?” He negotiated me down to $300 and $20 in food coupons to his restaurant, which I only agreed to because the injury hadn’t fractured any bones.
I later find out that this man is regularly yelling at Home Depot employees about the folks in the parking lot selling tamales, demanding Home Depot get them arrested. I told his workers this when I collected the envelope, and they all looked heart-broken. The owner still hasn’t fixed the door and he told me he doesn’t actually have insurance to cover injuries to customers, nor plans to get any.
I love the workers here, and the food is good, too, but I cannot come back until there is a change in ownership.
Added sour cream to my burrito and 1 large dollop was placed directly in the center so that later I can a nice globular mouthful, ew. Staff assumes what to put on the burrito and you have to tell them no, or please add this…. $55 for 2 burritos and 1 nacho plus water. Nope. Lackluster, boring, bland. Atmosphere top notch. Food not worthy.
The kids meal was missing items and I was told it was bland. The bean and cheese burrito was a light layer of beans and cheese that was not fully melted (picture included). They forgot the side of rice and chips and salsa.
The pineapple shrimp salad was good, which is why it’s a 2 star and not a 1 star. However the bag of what I’m assuming is supposed to be chips that came with it was really oily and without flavor (besides oil).
They didn’t provide any napkins or utensils.
With that all being said I wouldn’t return again that’s for sure…
