I was really dissapointed because I’ve been anticipating this experience. The Sizzling beef meal was the only thing that was worth it. Asian fries are frozen fries with mayo , poke chicken bowl tasted like leftover chicken skin, lastly dunked wings from kfc taste better than these Korean fried wings. Waiter didn’t care for our concerns . So maybe 4/10

Decent sushi buffet. A nice variety of options to choose from. But, as expected, quality is hit or miss. The rice for me didn’t taste too fresh. Service also got very slow eventually. If you can eat a lot like me, it might be worth your time.

We recently visited Yamakado Sushi Restaurant and overall had a good experience. The food was great and everything tasted very fresh. You can really tell that the sushi is made with quality ingredients, and the dishes were very tasteful.
We had the buffet special for R265 per person, which is definitely worth the money. There is a good variety of food to choose from (def try the Crunch Chicken Bao and Golden Prawn & Pork Parcels) and the portions are satisfying, making it a great option if you want to try different sushi and dishes.
The vibe at the restaurant is also really nice. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience enjoyable.
The only downside was the service speed. The food took quite a long time to arrive, which could be improved. If the waiting time was shorter, the overall experience would be even better.
Overall, Yamakado Sushi Restaurant offers fresh, tasty food at a very good price. Despite the wait for the food, the quality, friendly staff, and great atmosphere make it a place worth visiting.

For dining in, Yamakado is always amazing.
However as a take away their packaging is shocking!!
The sushi came completely squashed, which was definitely not the drivers fault, the sushi is packed so tightly that even when opening it, 90% of the toppings stays behind on the lid. Taking away the majority of the flavour of the sushi. And making it a massive mess to eat.
The bag our sushi came in was also so tightly packed that it broke the minute out driver gave it us, and a soya wasn’t closed properly, so there was soya everywhere.
Having the containers so tightly packed in the paper bag, definitely didn’t help with the sushi being squashed and ruined.
Please do something about your packaging options and double checking that sauces are properly closed.

Their food is absolutely delicious. We opted for the sushi buffet. We decided to visit this restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner. I must say their sushi is lovely,fresh and delicious. Their drinks were amazing, especially their bubble tea selection. The service could be better, they were slow and under staffed. Either than that the food and atmosphere was great.

Their all you can eat sushi option is fantastic. Nothing to walk away saying this is the best sushi you’re ever going to have, but for all you can eat? Oh, this is pretty good. Great customer service and great seating layout. Make sure to wear sweats/loose pants because your waist will get a bit bigger after eating here. If it makes you feel better, my waist did.

Love the place, love the food but the staff and service leave a sour taste in your mouth. Try getting the bill to leave, virtually impossible after 30 minutes of constantly asking I eventually got up and said Im leaving without paying suddenly the bill appeared. It was a boiling hot Sunny January afternoon I had sweaty waiters constantly leaning over me rubbing their sweat on me to reach their orders from the sushi belt. It must of happened a dozen times before we eventually moved further down. Don’t put chairs and place settings in an area if that if where you collect orders from. Great sushi but won’t visit again after the shocking service.
