I had such a great experience at Cafe Rio Mexican Grill – Heber City! The food was absolutely delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. You can really tell they prepare everything with quality ingredients — from the perfectly seasoned meats to the crisp veggies and flavorful rice and beans.
And the tortillas… WOW. Their fresh, warm, homemade tortillas are on another level. Soft, slightly chewy, and made right in front of you — they take every burrito and enchilada to the next level. You can taste the difference!
The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. If you’re in Heber City and craving fresh, flavorful Mexican food, this is the place to go. Highly recommend — five stars all the way!

Ahh. I shed actual tears today thinking of what Cafe Rio used to be. Used to be delicious, now it is disappointing. Their menu changed, AGAIN. $11 tacos do NOT come with rice or beans. No whole wheat tortillas. No tortilla soup. And the classic tomatillo dressing tasted nothing like it should. I don’t blame the sweet hardworking people there, just the company as a whole for cutting costs and disappointing customers that have been loyal for years. 🙁

I come for the chicken Tortilla soup and the sweet pork tostada. But I noticed they weren’t on the menu. I figured they were still available so I tried ordering the soup and was told they don’t serve that anymore, then I asked for the tostada and they said they don’t serve that either. Completely put out and so bumbed. So I got the lite salad that must be a new menu item. Am I the only one who liked those items they’re discontinuing?!?! We need to petition!!

i usually love the food here, and yesterday i really did enjoy my salad.. but i did not enjoy getting food poisoning and throwing up non stop today. i’ve eaten here before and haven’t gotten sick, so i don’t know what’s going on. all i know is i ate this food, and it came up 6 hours later.

I am ready to stop giving this place my business. I have given this location the benefit of the doubt countless times. But this is the final straw. Whether your in the store and the person making your food doesn’t speak a word of english, or you order online and they skimp out on ingredients. it’s never ever consistent I have multiple times paid EXTRA to get steak and went home with literally 4 pieces of steak in my burrito or salad. For the price and the horrid service I get at this location, I will not be giving them my business unless there are some major changes. Multiple times I have asked for things like extra pico, or extra lettuce just to be stared at like I just started speaking japanese. PUT PEOPLE THAT SPEAK ENGLISH ON YOUR ASSEMBLY LINES
