Used to love this place. Came for a new years promo that had a free salad, steak fetticini alfredo, small lasagna, and take home bread.
Coke tasted like they haven’t cleaned the machine in years. Should’ve left then and there.
Salad was mostly browned lettuce, steak was, and this is not a exaggeration, 90% fat.
Lasagna tasted freezer burned.
Fettuccine would’ve been better without the mostly water based alfredo sauce.
Fried ravioli was ok but weird to include an Asian style chili sauce (tasted like crab ragoons) and waitress refused to bring marinara instead.
She also never brought bread (why are the front hostesses being forced to bring the bread during non rush hour, she was nice at least), offered refills, and had an attitude overall.
Sad it used to be so good. The only way I would go back is with a health inspector.

We came in at a perfect time, they weren’t busy at all. It took forever to finally get seated, nobody was working the doors. Once seated we were right under a a/c vent we ended up freezing, so thats a plus after a hot day! They had big fans going too which made it hard to hear anything. Not sure why they were running it was plenty cool inside.
We ended seated next to the bar and the girl running it was also our waitress. She was running around like the place was packed but took forever for her to even take our order and bring us the bread. The dipping oil had no flavor, not even salt. My drink was suppose to be alcoholic but that was a no go either.
We even knew when our dinner was ready because the back of the house had hit the bell several times, but she was too busy wiping out containers behind the bar, and continued doing other stuff while they repeated hitting the bell. It was when she noticed I was looking straight at her that maybe she should stop and go check.
Once the dinners arrived, it was even BIGGER disappointment. There was hardly any sauce, absolutely no seasoning, or flavor for that matter. Even parts of the pasta edging was dried out, and hardly any chicken pieces in the bowtie pasta. You can see in the pictures where i pulled what chicken was in the meal up to the top and no seasoning.
We also had dirty silverware that we never got a chance to exchange because once we were served she didn’t come back.
We ended up leaving hungry and dissatisfied.

Johnny Carino’s never disappoints the food and service are always on point. The chicken bowtie pasta is absolutely delicious, rich, and full of flavor every single time. The Italian nachos are bomb definitely go for the mixed meat option, it’s a solid 10/10 and big enough to share (if you want to). I also appreciate that there’s no hassle with my service dog the staff is always respectful and accommodating. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people you won’t be disappointed here!

I will never make the mistake of going to this restaurant again. First, they had the temperature way too cool in the restaurant. Second, it was not busy at all and the service was terrible and slow. Third, the food was actually quite awful. The sauce in my lasagna was more black than red and it had a weird spicy taste to it. I had to wait to get more salad dressing for my salad as there was hardly any on it. The Alfredo with ribeye slices on top was completely all fat and then the pasta did not have hardly have any sauce on it. We got Italian margaritas with sugar on the rim and what I got was a margarita with sugar on the rim so I had to send those back to get amaretto added to it. You would think an Italian restaurant would know how to make an Italian margarita. The waitress said the manager would discount our ticket not even by our request and that did not happen. And, I had ordered two to go meals, and same with those no sauce, very little meat. And then on top of all that, their prices for what they are serving our absolutely ridiculous. So all in all a big time thumbs down.

The food was okay. A little pricey, but decent size portions. We tried toasted rav, Lobster Rav, and Johnny’s combo (which came with 12 layer lasagna made in house, chicken parm, and spaghetti). All were decent. To finish we tried turtle cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, and lemon cake. All very good.

I used to LOVE Johnny Carino’s! It has been about 10 years since I went, but decided to go there today with my significant other. It tastes nothing like it used to. The salad lettuce was partially frozen. The entree’s were $25 a piece and very small portion sizes. The worst part was that they both tasted like TV dinners that you would buy at Walmart for $5. I got the lobster ravioli. It had quite an unpleasant fishy taste and the lobster meat tasted more like canned tuna. My partner’s pasta was very dry and had absorbed most of the sauce. The sodas were flat. Also our waitress seemed like she absolutely hated us from the moment we walked in, despite us being very kind to her. $100 down the drain. I’ll never be back.

Great classic atmosphere and we hadn’t been back for a while, admittedly. This is because one of the main reasons we went there regularly was because of my father. He absolutely loved the Italian nachos. Mom said she wanted the nachos after I mentioned it cause we were talking about Dad. She shockingly said yes and it was the best decision. Hopefully we are back in some sort of normal patronage. Sorry, no photo this time.
