The grill octopus was flavorful but the main key was the side salad. I loved it. Regular fries/chips has a very tasty onion dip. Forget about ketchup, the dip is new way to go; crispy thinly sliced potatoes, you don’t taste the greasy or over fried/old oily soggy fries. Black cod and friend oysters were also good. I would prefer grilled miso cod instead of deep fried cod. Overall, it deserved a high review. They’re pretty darn good.
I didn’t get our server’s name, but honestly EVERYONE there hustled. There was never an empty plate or glass on our table. The busboys were constantly assisting the servers.
Food is delicious and we opted to do 4-5 smaller plates to share. Smaller plates are good for two people or even a third. I will say, although the food is really tasty, most dishes we had was heavy on the sauces. Had I known, I would’ve requested light on the sauce. I just easily scraped it off.
We didn’t have any cocktails as we were off to wine tasting after, but they have a full bar and I saw some rather pretty cocktails; must try next time.
Parking is easy; there are also lots of street parking.

Would totally come back again!
Hence, my happiness at locating this little piece of heaven! I had a wonderful bloody Mary along with my Diet Coke. My two restaurants staples! I had the cheddar cheese curds as an appetizer, which were pretty amazing and then I had the pastrami steam bun sandwich, which was off the hook with flavor! From the house made pastrami to the mustard seeds on top and the thin sliced house made pickles on the bottom. It was an all-around great tasting sandwich.
I will be back!!
The restaurant has a lot of space. Indoor and outdoor seating is available as well as a bar area.
The service has always been good. The staff have all been nice and friendly.
The thing that always comes to our mind when coming here is the pastrami tacos! They are to YUM for! We recommend them to anyone who might be heading that way. The pastrami is moist, the mustard seeds pair so well with the pastrami. There are some menu items that change but the staples seem to stay. In the past we have also ordered the crispy skin salmon wings, corn riblets, ribs, bone marrow, and wood grilled gulf prawns. All of these items were delicious. We do order a few drinks while we are there but unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the cocktails.
If you happen to be in Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and go try some of these pastrami tacos!
The restaurant was lively and bustling on a Friday night, which added to the fun, energetic atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the service was absolutely excellent, friendly, attentive, and seamless. If you’re looking for a spot with delicious food, a vibrant vibe, and top-notch service, Bird in the Bottle is a solid choice. Yum!
However we had a large party of 12. Not everyone in my party enjoyed that style and complained about the timeliness of their food, and some complained about the saltiness of the Garlic noodles. When we received ours..it was not as salty as what the rest of the table received. ♀️
Our server tried to be accommodating…but I believe he was overwhelmed by the demands, and kind of disappeared, and someone else took over and managed our table. That didn’t go over well with the rest of our party. It fell apart after that.
My overall experience was a good one, and I would go back, but I would go with a smaller party or by myself.
Price to quality is totally off-base here.
Definitely will not give B&B a third chance.
