Found this place on Google maps while driving back to Las Vegas. The pictures and reviews looked good. Wanted something quick and easy. This place delivered on both.
Let’s start with the good. The Food was excellent. Hot and so fresh. The restaurant was clean, and so were the bathrooms. We got the Lengua (beef tongue) street tacos. They came with a side of chips with refried beans on top. These were amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful. We also got the chicken Rolled tacos. They were very good too, not dried out like others that we’ve had. We also wanted a side of rice and beans… This is where our issue was. On the menu, it said $1 to add rice and $1 to add beans. However, after receiving the bill, we were charged $3.25 for rice and another $3.25 for beans. When we asked the girl about the overcharge, her answer was that it was an old menu. We noticed it said 1/2 pint of each, which was more than what we were wanting. We just wanted a small side of each. I will say the rice was a little dry and lacked flavor. But the beans were awesome!
The other nice thing they offered was a small salsa bar with 2 salsa options (both delicious), limes, and some amazing pickled carrots. I wish we had bought a giant container of those carrots. They were so good with the right amount of spice.
If we are passing through and are looking for some good fast (they also have a drive thru) mexican food, we will definitely stop.

The food was good and I can’t believe how fast it they had it ready for the size of the portion we got. I wish I had pics, but my Carne asada chimichanga was 4 Inches thick and 6 to 7 inches long. No joke.

I’ve been coming here for about four years. I’m basing this review on the last four years that I’ve been coming, but wanted to provide a warning for what I think was an isolated event. I’ve ordered Menudo twice from them the first time without any problems. I’ve just gotten over being extremely sick with diarrhea after eating the Menudo.I’ve never gotten sick with any of their other food, but wanted to post this in case others had the same problem. If not, that’s great. I like the restaurant and I would like to keep going there. I just won’t get the Menudo. i’m really mad because I had a lot of leftovers and put it in the refrigerator for later. I checked with Google AI and it said pathogens can survive boiling so I’ve gotta throw it all the way and I’m really po’d.

The food is perfectly fine for a quick service Mexican restaurant, though there are better options in town. This place is best in terms of cost and speed, though. Ordering online is very easy and gets you in and out quickly. Check your order, though, as I’ve been missing things a couple times when I’ve ordered online.

Tried to charge me $8 for chips and guac but the guacamole was fake and bad service from the lady taking our order. Green slime.

Best part of the experiences I was offered my money back for food I didn’t eat.

I have noooo idea how this place even exists here, in this small town. As someone who grew up in LA and having to have tried real, delicious, authentic, Mexican food, I can say THIS place is at the TOP. The flavors are there rather it’s in their meats, salsas, guac, tortillas or horchata. I love this place and I’m gonna continue to make it my go-to spot when I pass on by. This is a MUST try.

It’s a little bit pricey but boy, oh boy, it’s really good. i only can’t afford to go there once a week. But I get this burrito, El pastor cilantro and onions only. And I’ll tell you what it reminds me of back home in chicago land very very good.

Poncho’s Taco Shop was good. Food was pretty good and the service was great. It’s nice to have a place that’s open a little later for the late night dinners.

Incredible portions and amazing service. The horchata is the powdered kind which tasted a little like white chocolate Kool-aid. The meat could have been a better quality and the guac and beans tasted like they came from a bag. Overall the flavors were just meh.

I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and left feeling like I had every variant of covid, gross.
