This must be one of the best TC around because it was very busy. Although they were very busy. They got my order ready in 5 minutes of arrival. The salsa bar was extremely clean and the servers were all super nice. It seemed from an outside perspective that everybody was helping everyone with orders. When the new person came in, they were diving right into work.

The picture should speak for itself, but in case doesn’t … that’s a double crunch pizza with hardly any cheese on top and two pieces of tomato. There were no cars in the drive thru and no other customers inside the restaurant when I picked up the food so I’m having a hard time understanding the quality. I ordered two ground beef cabana bowls one with no cheese and small chicken quesadillas. I got to the window and the cashier confirmed that very order. Why I get home and how steak quesadillas and one of the cabana bowls has cheese. Please change whoever is making the meals, clearly they can’t read. Because it’s so far away I have to eat a whole wrong order.

Well I guess Taco Cabana has tanked, at least this location. Too bad, 30 years ago it was one of my favorites. Just look at the Googlemap review scorecard and you can tell the score. Odd how these places go into a time warp. They start off good, then the old guy dies or sells it and they just coast on fumes for decades and finally shutter them. We have been here for 10 years and this location has gone up and down. Periodically corporate sends in a “rescue” manager and things are good, then later they go downhill again. Nonetheless, we have seldom been disappointed and we are picky customers. Who in the heck decided to put loud annoying jazz piano music in a Mexican restaurant? Good gosh people get a clue! Besides the fact that jazz went out of style in, like, 1950! This dining room has been totally devoid of diners for 3+ years now. Taco Cabana, do something about it! Restock the goodie bar like it used to be, put in some good Mexican music, stay open late and get the diners back and excited! I’ll give them this, they’ve finally extended their hours until midnight, highly welcome, but you need to do much more. My cashier today was courteous.

I went there for lunch. It was a poor experience. We tried the Totopos and Guacamole, Chicken Quesadilla and the Brisket Tacos. All very tasted very poor. The place smelled horrible. They don’t clean the tables after each customer. Service is very poor. They just serve your food, charge the bill and that’s it. Not worth coming back.

This is absolutely unacceptable. At no point should raw food ever leave a restaurant. I’m serve safe certified and worked in fast food before. Food intended to be cooked should not even be boxed up until it’s cooked. I’m from Houston and been going to taco cabana since it was two pesos. Someone put half frozen food in a to go container and served it… seriously! This feels very intentional not to mention scary because of this being out of temp control and cross contamination. I hope they are not putting cooked food back in containers where it was raw. For the readers, Never eat raw dough, egg and some other uncooked ingredients could make you really sick. In this situation trash it immediately. We may not give this location another chance. We moved to the area in the past year and this was our first visit to this location.

Our food was all scrambled and looked like it had been dropped. It was handed out the window to us with the boxes on the ends in the bag. Beans all over the place in the bag and in our car. If we had been rude or something I might could understand why this happened but there was no issue during the order process that we know of so no idea why we were given our food this way. All we ordered was 2x chicken soft taco plates and 1 order of churros. The churros were not cooked right. doughy inside and hard as a rock outside. Very disappointed.
