We eat here monthly, and usually I enjoy a great meal. Good appetizers, great bbq options. This time I had the country fried steak dinner. The veges and mashed potatoes were great, as was the gravy and great salad. But the CFS was the worst I’ve ever had. Worst. Looked like it was a frozen packaged piece of shoe sole about a 1/4″ thick, maybe 3″x5″, with a thin crust. It was tough. Not anything like what I expected, and the worst I’ve had anywhere in the world. Even Denny’s CFS is better! Recommend you scratch this off your menu, or make one, from scratch, like anyone would expect from you. Big and thick and tasty. My guests rib rack was excellent, so we’ll be back, but the CFS is OFF our list.

We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday, it was busy. After waiting to be seated we were told we would be in the saloon since it would be faster due to it being less busy. An hour later we still didn’t have our food. We watched a few people order after us get their food. The bartender was our server and she was not communicative about the wait. We left without eating. We’re probably not going back.

We came here today to celebrate a birthday with friends. There were only a couple of tables occupied. Emmy was our server and I have no complaints on service. It was the Friday fish & chips I wanted. Emmy said they looked delicious today. Well, I should have had something else. I wish I had taken photos, but didn’t. 3 small pieces of heavily battered fish, with very little actual fish – less than 2 ounces, but lots of fried batter. The fries were okay, the cole slaw was okay although I have never had black beans in coleslaw. I ordered ice tea, and it was very pale, very little flavor for $3.75. My friends all ordered water only, which I should have done. Fish $19 – worth less than $10. Tea $3.75, with tax and tip it was $30 just for me! My friends seemed to be okay with their food. On had a Caesar salad, which looked good. One had a French Dip, which needed more meat and one had a Rueben sandwich (without the bread – celiac). They were out of potato salad which she requested. My birthday friend had a birthday balloon attached to her chair, but I had to ask if there is something they do for a birthday dessert. She got a brownie sundae which was decent except the brownie was so hard she couldn’t break it apart with a spoon. Last time I was here, I had a decent meal, I wished I remembered what I had. It took awhile for the kitchen to get the food out. At the most, 8 people in the restaurant. This is an out-of-the-way place and they better step up their game if they want to keep things open and running. The dining room was a bit dark, but we sat by the window. Old western-type. The restrooms were clean, so a plus there.

On Monday the 16th we took our visiting family out to eat at the Longhorn just after 5:00pm. There were 7 of us and only one waitress. The restaurant filled up and she was the only server working. Her name, I believe, is Emma and she was absolutely awesome. She served everyone with a smile and great attitude in spite of being overwhelmed. Definitely above and beyond service!

Stopped in to dine after some friends recommended the Longhorn. After three visits, we have come to enjoy the entrees and a favorite, the onions chips with the dip. The staff was friendly and made sure that we were enjoying our meals. The atmosphere was comfortable. We have three visits under our belt, and we are definitely going back to Longhorn Grill.

I’m a sucker for Texas-style BBQ, and this place totally hit the spot. The brisket was smoky, super tender, and full of flavor. The sauce was that perfect sweet and smoky combo without being too much. Service was friendly and on point, and I left happy (and very full).
