Casual environment. Just traditional food..steak was highly rated by my family..my soup was deliciously balanced..no fussy decor or dress to impress…just goid food.
The owners were so polite.. felt like I was eating at a family home.. will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks guys
Our drinks and starters were served exactly on time as a result and everyone agreed that the food was top notch. The lamb chops were a revelation (we had this as a starter for everyone) and the restaurant had recommended the Pla Sam Rod to us, which turned out to be the favourite for most people.
The staff as ever were really attentive and really took care of us. Looking forward to our next visit!
Mr Jamil is the good host 🙂
Location is great, loads of on-street parking outside.
The Tom Yum soup was really good, great taste.
The curries are also fresh and taste very good.
Good size portions also.
Setting and decor are really modern and tasteful. Very good ambience.
Highly recommend this place.
Much better and better priced than some other over-priced ones like Nakhon Thai.
I ordered the lamb chop for myself but found it challenging to review. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it as the meat had a strong smell that lingered, and the dish looked more like a curry than a traditional lamb chop. However, my husband tried it and found it quite good, so it might just be a matter of personal preference.
The highlight of our meal was the prawn crackers served with chili sauce—they were delicious and well-prepared (5/5). We also loved the drinks, particularly the strawberry milkshake and orange juice, which were both refreshing (5/5). The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant (5/5 for both). Most importantly, the pricing was reasonable and worth the experience (5/5).
One thing to note—Thai and Pie is a cash-only establishment, so make sure to bring cash with you! Overall, it was a delightful dining experience with a few minor misses but plenty of highlights. We’d definitely consider returning.
The service is always top-notch – both gentlemen who served us were friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel personal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the place is clean, including the bathrooms, which is always a plus.
I’ve been back a few times now to try different dishes, and they’ve all been delicious. You can let them know how spicy you want your food – today I had the red curry and asked for it spicy. It definitely hit the spot!
One thing to note: it’s cash only, so make sure to bring some money with you.
Sainsbury’s Supermarket is directly opposite and offers 3h parking which is handy.
Highly recommend this place.
