Have been to Pewter Mug North twice since New Year’s eve, and had same server. Stephanie is a very good server, and stays on top of whatever you might need while at same time not breaking in to check on how everything is every 5 minutes. She is a pro! The salad & soup bar are really good with plenty of choices to build a super nice salad. But the star is the prime rib. Excellent cut of meat. Go for the blackened prime rib if that is your thing. Trust me you’ll love it!! Will be back, and ask for Stephanie. Thanks ya’ll!!

Great local gem with excellent food. Plenty of parking in a large lot out front. Be prepared for a wait even with a reservation. We arrived at 7:00 for 7:15 reservation and still waited 30 minutes. That’s okay because there’s a nice bar with friendly bartenders. Good beer selection. Had a great server who was very attentive. Salad bar is awesome. Great baked salad and soup bar but be careful not to fill up. I strongly recommend the blackened chicken Alfredo. Absolutely delicious. Food slow coming out. Busy night so I understand but too slow. Hot and delicious once it arrived. Had to skip dessert but what I saw walking by looked great. We’ll be back.

We love the Pewter Mug and have been going there for over 10 years. The salad bar is always a great part of our experience. But the price increase is a bit much, for us, on steaks. We’re not sure we will be able to continue our patronage, although we love coming to your restaurant and it’s a great place to bring our guests as well. We understand that the price of red meat is seriously going up.

salad bar was very fresh with many options. The clam chowder was great! Staff was very friendly. People were lining up before they opened. They are known for Prime rib. I opted for the salmon and it was delicious. Great portion size. You will not leave the restaurant hungry.

This place is as great as it was when I was kid….just a different location. The Salad Bar. The Prime Rib Dinner with a freshly baked potato. The prices have increased slightly over the last year, but which restaurant hasn’t? The whole package is put together by Dana and Michaela. The icing on the cake. So great. A local treasure.

I was at the pewter mug restaurant last night with a friend whose husband was in a wheelchair. We came for the 4 o’clock snack and bites. It was her 43rd wedding anniversary and we came in behind three women who eagerly snatched up the only low table they offer in the whole bar area. Now we asked the staff asked if the women would give up the table for the guy in the wheelchair and they would not so we sat at a high top while he sat in a wheelchair practically underneath the high top table Service did nothing for a handicap person. Sorry where are the laws in the respect for the disabled they totally defied them and then I said to the woman way to you’re at a wheelchair because karma will come and get you. You’ll reap what you so. The woman got up from the table walked over got nose to nose with me screaming at me and spitting on me and I had to put my hand up to get her away from me and the staff did nothing they allowed her to stay. They didn’t throw her out of the restaurant. They did give us a table in the dining section, but constantly reminded us how that part of the restaurant is not open yet they didn’t throw her out. I could’ve called the police and had her arrested for assault management could’ve removed her from the place for assaulting me verbally spitting in my face nose to nose with me. They did nothing to protect the disabled so don’t go there if you’re in a walker or a wheelchair cause they don’t care.

This post is not about the food and service. Which both were very good.
Rather, this is about the price increase they have done for the early bird Prime rib. Our bill went from around $80-$90 for dinner and a couple drinks to $122. Approx. a $40 increase. We have been going there for years making the trip from Punta Gorda and price was $31 for a 10oz. We were gone for the summer and came back to a price of $52. Only a $1 difference between the early bird menu and regular menu. We understand that beef prices have increased but they haven’t increased that much.
Not sure if we will be back since prime rib is advertised locally for a 12oz for $29 in Northport.
We also noticed that they were nothing near as busy as they use to be. This is probably the reason why.

My review is based on cost. We’ve been coming here for years, and have always loved it. I understand the price of beef has increased, but alternatives could be provided such as 8oz prime rib for 39.00 or charge a few dollars for salad bar. The 10oz early bird special is 52.00 thats over 5.00 per pound. We were there the other night, and we overheard several people discussing the price. The bar was the only full area in the place.
