A wonderful place. If you are looking for delicious food with the rich smell of burning wood and friendly staff this is the place. The staff was really friendly, but more importantly, the food was delicious. We got the judge’s sampler and everything was soo good. The ribs were extremely flavorful and tasty, the brisket was moist juicy and full of flavor, the chicken and pulled pork were also hits. We ate to our fill and really enjoyed it there. Next time I’m in Raleigh, I will be stopping by for sure.

I’ve had a bad experience before but for some reason decided to try again. Ordered 3 brisket sandwiches to go and when I got home I realized they gave me the saddest excuse for a sandwich I have ever seen. It was so dry and looked like it had been in the freezer for a month. I feel like it was made with malicious intent because nobody can screw up that bad on accident. Drove back to get a refund and the cashier said it looked fine, huh? She then goes and gets the manager and he comes out confrontational saying “ well of course it’s cold it’s been 30 minutes”. That’s not the point it looks like the cow was anemic! Either that or the people working here don’t know what fresh food is. The manager working was a black male I think his name with jojo. Here’s a picture of the pathetic food they serve here.

Our visit to City Barbeque was excellent. The team was courteous, attentive, and created a genuinely welcoming environment. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The chicken was especially impressive — tender, moist, and well-seasoned. The mac and cheese was a standout side and complemented the meal perfectly.

I had a great experience at City Barbeque! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I had the chicken and it was juicy, tender, and well seasoned. The sides, especially the mac and cheese and baked beans, were delicious too. Quick service and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Abundant choices, really good food. The ribs special is great, the brisket is better than any ive had outside of Texas. The chicken tenders are an especially big hit with my family.
The staff was incredibly patient and helpful to answer any and all questions and made good recommendations for combos of things to try and how to combine things to get what we wanted for the best overall pricing. Highly recommended to give it a try!

This is a brand new store. It’s clean and the service was super friendly and helpful. The food, as always, was fantastic. The brisket was outstanding. Our group ordered an assortment of dishes and sides and everyone was pleased.

Tried this location atmosphere is great. Friendly staff and clean location. I went with the pit master nachos flavors were on point. I’d say if they added more pulled pork and a little more BBQ sauce, this dish would be been perfect. It seemed to have a little to much queso cheese than anything. Chips were great.
Next time I’ll grab just some pulled pork, sausage, or brisket with a side.
Prices seemed reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.

City Barbecue catered for our bus driver week. I am a fan of the food anyway. For some reson the mac and cheese was a major hit for me. It was nice and warm and creamy just like I like as always my ribs was on point and the sauce is amazing. Thanks for making bus driver week the best.
