The live music beautifully complemented the evening, adding warmth and elegance to the atmosphere. Service was attentive, gracious, and seamless throughout.
A refined and memorable way to celebrate a special night.
We stood there for about 6 minutes. Next we were sat, and I knew it was going to be poor service when we were sat because the server was over sat with a large party who she prioritized their experience over ours. We sat at our table for 8 minutes (yes. I looked at my watch and counted because I was hungry and ready to just leave) before she came up to us (but not even to take our order, just to greet us) Her SA came by with water and was really kind. We had fully looked at the menu already before she came by. Finally, she walked up and said, “I’ll be right with you” then proceeded to make us wait another 3 minutes. The table next to us got desert, and the man at the table handed her his card to pay and told her to take her time, she grabbed it, turned, looked at us, like she was going to take our order, then decided nah I’ll charge his card first then take their order (which is what she did).A stronger server would have been more lean with their time, realize they have a dessert to finish, pivot to take an order, then go back to charge a card and ring and order simultaneously. She came back, didn’t tell us any specials, didn’t really care**, said “Looks like you’re ready to order ” or some variation of that. Can’t recall her exact words but it was enough for us for us to realize if we don’t order everything up front, nothing will come out for another hour.
We asked for samples of two wines, ordered a “starter” and two plates. We ate 2 baskets of bread before the wine samples came out. At this point I’m ready to ask for everything to go but my husband asked me to be patient and that it was okay, we were already here, no reason to get up and leave now.
We get the wine samples and proceed to wait for another 10 minutes before I finally asked the SA if we could order two glasses of wine. To which, he asked the server to come back. Note all the while, the server in the section next to us was watching our table the entire time, glancing at us, being calm with her tables and could tell we were frustrated but didn’t even try to check on us. (Not her monkeys. Not here circus, right?)
Server comes back, gets our wine order, then our entrees don’t come out for a reallllllyyyyyy long time. Makes me think she forgot to ring them in and pretended it was a kitchen error. Lady, I was a server and a bartender, I know the game.
Food comes out and she finally checks on us, I thought that her night was starting to slow down so I wanted to share that we decided to get the lasagna and the fettuccine Bolognese because we have a favorite spot up by us and like to compare Bolognese at different Italian restaurants so we said it came in second to the place that we really like, she laughed, walked away we finished our orders, asked for a box, and then with a less inviting tone after we denied a desert menu she said “oh you didn’t want to judge our tiramisu?” That was not a friendly tone in the way that she had said it so I said no… we’d like the check she came back, we paid, as we stood up very slowly to walk out of the restaurant I made eye contact with her and she watched us stand up and get maybe 6 ft from her and instead of saying goodbye she turned around and proceeded to talk to a different server instead of wishing us a good night
As we were seated, we heard the soft, beautiful notes of live piano music filling the space. We asked if we could be seated a bit closer, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate—such a thoughtful touch that truly elevated the evening.
The food was nothing short of incredible. We started with the Caesar salad, crisp and flavorful, then enjoyed the fettuccine bolognese and the tortellini alla Benigi, both perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. We added a side of grilled chicken breast, which was tender and well-seasoned. To finish, we shared a scoop of chocolate gelato—just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal on a high note.
It’s rare to find a place that delivers both outstanding food and a memorable dining experience, but this spot does just that. We will absolutely be back!
The service was great EdenC did an great job of making my wife and I feel lime we were her only table.
Tonight the atmosphere was perfect.
