A cute neighborhood restaurant. My husband said the mussels in white wine and cream sauce were as good as the ones he had in Brugge, Belgium. Our compliments to the chef. The cheese plate was perfect for 2, the bread was crusty on the outside and soft within. We split the entree which was beef in a brown ale sauce, which was good… oh and the French Fries? Don’t forget the herb mayo that went with it. We had to take a walk around the neighborhood after that meal!

Point Brugge has been our go-to brunch spot since our second date three years ago. The cocktails are delicious, and the food is typically divine! It’s been a few months since we’ve been able to go out to eat together, so we went to the place that always wows us.

Unfortunately, today, the experience was disappointing. The menu was lackluster, with the special just being a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo. We ordered the croque monsieur and the Belgian dip, which were fine but uninspired.

At least I had good company, and the cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend the Hastings 2.0 and the Black Manhattan.

Excellent service, attentive, friendly but not intrusive. We had the red curry mussels served with plenty of crusty bread, perfect for enjoying all the sauce. The “small” portion was still quite large and enough for my daughter and I to share. The cheese board was also delicious. They have a nice, interesting selection of cocktails. My Brugge Old Fashioned was very good. Will be a new favorite spot for us.

Lovely experience! Got there before 12p on a Saturday and they were able to seat us immediately. We sat outside (1 of only 3 tables). The red curry moules with crusty bread and frites are a necessity (IYKYK). We tried something different (shrimp po’boy special and small house salad with salmon) and were happy we did. The po’boys remoulade (red pepper and garlic?!?!) was sensational (their sauces are always top tier), and the salmon was cooked to crispy medium perfection. Dessert was homemade cheesecake with Belgium chocolate drizzle. Just a good “YUM” all the way.

This is a solid, dependable neighbourhood bistro. You’ll enjoy the food and drinks here. It will not blow you away. But you wouldn’t dislike it either. We visited on a week night around 7 PM as a group of four, and we had to wait for about 20 minutes to grab a table. they don’t really accept reservations, but the waiting wasn’t too bad. We started with the mussels and fries which is what they are known for, and it was pretty good. The fries were crispy and the mussels were cooked well. The standard for me was the Thai coconut curry sauce, which accompanied it, and they also gave us some good quality crusty bread, which was amazing for soaking up all that curry. We also had the croque monsieur which was pretty underwhelming to be honest, but that could also be a fault with the dish itself and rather than the cooking. We also got the chicken, which was bread and fried to perfection. It came on a bed of arugula and some artichokes. I thought it was a tad bit under season, but my friends felt that it was adequately seasoned. We also had some of the gin-based cocktails, which were super strong and totally worth it. The service seemed a bit impatient at first, maybe because it was close to their closing time, but then they redeemed themselves with good suggestions for cocktails and food. The seating is very casual and nothing fancy. So, if you’re looking for a place with great ambience, this might not be the place for you.

Wow! came here for a random date night with my Fiancé and was so so pleasantly surprised. We had the “small” bowl of Mussels in the Classic White Wine sauce and it was far from what I consider small! It was so yummy and I cannot wait to go back and try them in a new different sauce! For dinner We had the Carbonnade Flamande and the Herb Crusted Salmon, both were sooo delicious and we loved them! The drinks we had were poured lovingly haha, plan on getting an uber or a Lyft home if you are having a couple drinks here haha! Not to mention the super mom to be that was our server, she was so kind and we loved her! Wonderful staff, food, and environment!

I have gone to point Brugge and Park Brugge since both of these restaurants opened decades ago. I was sad to see Park Brugge close over a year ago, which was a tremendous loss for Highland Park. I went to point the original Brugge tonight to have their most reputable dish – the Moule-frites. While the moules were excellent as usual, the previously to die for frites were mediocre at best. The fat fries were mushy in the middle and were a big disappointment. When discussed with the waitstaff, they became defensive and curt. My conclusion is that all good things come to an end. Hard to understand why to change a time honored winner.

A quite cozy pub nestled in Point Breeze that dishes up delicious European comfort food. I had the Belgian dip and my wife had the grilled Caesar salad. Both were divine and really soothed us on a chilly and damp Pittsburgh autumnal evening. Price point was more than fair for how good the meal was and the atmosphere of Point Brugge Cafe gives cozy Euro pub. The staff were kind and attentive, and seemed very accommodating to any potential substitutions that a customer might require.

Overall this place is a full 5 out of 5 stars in all categories

A very small cafe, you will be on top of each other where they can hear your conversation and theirs but excellent food made with expertise and rich flavors! I would highly recommend! The Buffalo Cauliflower soup was divine! The ham and steak sandwiches were really good, the ham had way more flavor.
