The last time I was being here in 2019, and I came back again because I missed their hot dogs and ice cream. It’s hard to believe they’ve been around since 1955. If you’re in Hamden, don’t miss checking in here.

Everything was cooked exactly as I asked for and exactly how I like it. The hot dogs are fantastic (I believe they’re hummels) and their spicy relish has good flavor and a nice kick to it. On the other hand, the chili on the chili cheese dog is very dry and bland so I probably wouldn’t get that again and just go with two regular dogs. Honestly, the only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 was the price (and the chili). It cost a little over $20 for 2 hot dogs, fries and a drink. Other than that though, it was fantastic and I’ll definitely be back (when I have extra money)

My friend took me here the other night and I’m so glad she did. I ordered this lobster roll with onion rings and I am officially in heaven. The meat was perfect, and sweet, and chewy. The butter made it even tastier. I ate it all up in less than 10 mins. It’s not often you find a lobster roll this good, yet here we are. One of the best I’ve had in the state, hands down.

Staff is friendly & welcoming. Sadly, seems like everything is overcooked. Burgers, fries, hot dogs, zucchini fries. Zero flavor to their sauerkraut. Hot dogs are big, have a nice snap & are charred, which is ok, but tasteless. Appreciate the fixin’ bar. Their fries use to be amazing, not sure what happened.

Can’t beat their staple menu items- whole belly clams, lobster rolls, hamburgers, hotdogs, ff and onion rings!!! Friendly staff, clean, tasty food
9/23 Whole belly clams!! Delicious. Wonderful- deep fat oil was fresh. Priced more than a lobster roll?
Fries and onion rings were fantastic.

Simply….. delicious. Old school chili cheese dog delivered! Glenwood Drive-in didn’t try to invent the wheel or make everything more complicated…. Nope, just filled my hotdog craving with an absolute delicious old school hot dog, had flash backs from being a kid.
I went out on a limb, being I am particularly picky about seafood, I ordered the lobster roll. In my mind I was expecting something deep fried that completely demolishes the lobster flavor… instead I got a delicious bun full of fresh lobster covered with nothing but lobster!! Great find, with great food at Glenwood Drive-in.

The best dogs anywhere. Hometown, local feel. Great place! Be sure to put some pepper relish on whatever you order.

1st time clam strips were good went the other night and they were overcooked and had to spit 4 or 5 into my napkin. 2 clam strip dinners were 61.00 dollars, thought that was high priced. Also place needs a make over floor is a mess and uneven dangerous for older people. Tables are not always clean

Local burger and hot dog place in CT. Service was fast and place was spotless. Good place for a nostalgic quick bite. Hot dog was larger than expected and had a nice snap when you bit it. Onion rings we good with light breading but needed a little salt.

A Hamden institution. Classic old school Hamburger & Hotdog drive-in, with seafood options. Very good Hotdogs, footlong Hummels. Onion rings, made fresh in house. Don’t forget to go next door to Kelly’s for ice cream.
