Welcome to Portofino’s Ristorante Italiano e Pizzeria. Three Charlotte area locations, plus our newest in Indian Land, SC. Authentic Italian cuisine a warm, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our very first Portofino’s Restaurant was opened on Eastway Drive in Charlotte in 1996. Later, Portofino’s on Park Road opened, followed by Portofino’s at the Arboretum. Portofino’s Indian Land opened in May 2018.

We stopped in yesterday for lunch and loved it! The service was phenomenal, and the food was amazing! I got the pepperoni pizza, and my mom got the bolognese pasta, and we split a piece of the lemon cake. Portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. All of the staff was friendly and on top of everything. We will definitely make the trip back!

I ate here today and when I got home with my leftovers, I opened the sub and there was a bug in it. I immediately called and spoke to the owner. He said it is more than likely from the lettuce, which I get, and he told me to bring in the sub so that he could see it and he would make me “whatever I like.” I did not realize he only wanted me to come in so that he could deny that it was a bug. I gave him my food and he takes it to the back, not even properly acknowledging me. He came back from the kitchen and kept saying it was oregano. I said it has legs. As you can see from the pictures I posted. I said to him are you trying to say it’s not a bug and he just kept saying it’s oregano while going in and out of the kitchen. Beyond disrepectful. I said you know what I don’t want anything from you and he then said it’s already being remade. I felt like an inconvenience to him, even though I came all the way back to his restaurant to show him the bug. Sir, contrary to what you may think, I don’t need anything free from you. The new sandwich he gave me went straight in the trash and my family and I will not be returning to his restaurant.

The food was very good! My hubby had the lasagna and I had chicken piccata. Clams Casino appetizer was not authentic clams casino recipe however they were okay. (A little too much tomato sauce & authentic clams casino do not have tomato sauce on them). The staff was very kind and attentive! Overall a lovely experience and I would go back again!!!

The fresh bread is fantastic. If you like pizza, hand to try the white pizza or the veggie pizza, both are good.

A great reasonable Italian restaurant where my family and I have eaten for the past 15 to 20 years. The food is consistent good and the restaurant itself has good parking and is accessible. We very seldom have to wait to be seated. The pricing is reasonable and the portions are huge. Portofinos provides excellent customer service. If at the Eastway restaurant be sure to say hello to Eugeneo.

We ordered the appetizer with a selection of meats and cheeses. Lackluster. Don’t bother. Entrees were fine. Portions still generous and tasted better than I remember. Cheesecake for dessert. The server got the sauces confused but a nice way to finish off a meal.

Let me preface with the food was quite delicious. Majority of the staff was very friendly and capable. However our waitress was not quite so capable. She didn’t speak very good English and the girls coming behind her for things like refill was very much the same situation. In trying to get a single glass of Coke with no ice we ended up with our first cup with ice and 2 more refills also with ice before the 4th cup finally had no ice.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten in a long while. The veal parm was delicious. Their sauce is very good. I sample my wife’s ravioli and it was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Bravo!

Just because it smells like lasagna doesn’t mean it’s lasagna. This was just sauce, pasta with sauce, meat the size of an atom which meant non existent and a few green flakes. Oh yes I do taste the melted cheese.

This restaurant was absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp parmesan, and it was full of flavor—every bite was perfect. I also tried the bruschetta, and it was super fresh and delicious—so good that I only had one piece left before realizing I forgot to take a picture! Definitely got into greedy mode there, lol. The restaurant had plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Everyone in my group loved their dishes as well, and we all left satisfied. I’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy more of their amazing food! Highly recommend!
