Social Profile:

Alpha Omega opened in June 2016 and is located in Waco’s historic downtown district. In the 50’s, the original building was a transmission shop. After investing hard work and time, the building was transformed to its original style with a long narrow design. Alpha Omega’s kitchen is visible from the seating area, allowing guests to experience the food being made, Fresh pita bread, pastries made daily will entice customers to try a variety of classic and updated Mediterranean dishes. With a self serve style, the customer is able to choose a long neck beer or a nice wine to pair with their meal. Customers can enjoy a gyro while dining either inside or outside on our patio area in view of the historic Alico building lights.

Popular, warm Mediterranean joint serving a variety of gyro sandwiches, fresh pita & mezze platters.

My daughter is into Mediterranean food so she insisted. Me not so much so I played it safe with a beef gyro. First impression from the outside was not great. Place seemed vacant then I saw a couple of tables that hadn’t been cleaned up. I went inside and it picked up. Nice atmosphere. Easy to order. Thay called my name within 10 min. Good service. Gyro was nice. My daughter loved her food. I think she has a favorite place now.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on Thursday; it was our first time dining at this establishment. The prices are incredibly low for the portions, location and cuisine. We loved the friendliness of all the staff, the option to eat outdoors, large bathrooms, extremely clean inside and outside and the variety of food. I was extremely disappointed with the fried cheese balls; although the portion and price were spectacular the cheese was practically non-existent.

The Chicken Souvlaki is excellent! The French Fries are perfect! The staff is friendly and helpful! I was able to purchase my Greek Olive Oil and get an amazing lunch while enjoying the Greek music playing overhead!!!

Counter order restaurant. Excellent beef choices for Gyros and plates. Including a Ribeye Gyro! Reasonably priced considering the food quality. Bakery items on display but I didn’t try any.

My favorite way to kick off the weekend. A Saturday ritual of an amazing gyro from Alpha Omega, followed by the fellowship and support of an AA meeting. Highly recommended, even the meeting – if you need it.

The restaurant has a small bakery cafe feel. It not usually super busy so you can easily find a spot to sit with no wait. You order at the counter and they call your name when your food is ready. The stove was great. They’re really friendly and knowledgeable.

The food here is fantastic. They gyros are pretty big so keep that in mind.

Atmosphere looks good and clean, so I thought. The clean spoons still had dirty food on them, I didn’t even want to eat my food after that. The soup i order had too much vinegar or acidity, I only ate one spoonful. The gyro sandwich was OK, but the pita bread here is like a loaf, its way to big and thick. I wish the sandwiches had some other veggie than onions and meat.

I wouldn’t return. Its a Saturday night and this place has been empty from 6-8p. That says alit about what people think about this place. But go try it for yourself.

The pita was amazing! I had the chickpea gyro and husband had the shrimp gyro. Side of Greek feta fries was absolutely delicious.

Was in the waco area for a conference and tried this place on a whim and very much enjoyed it. I had a variety off apps (humus, dolmas, and spanokopita). I was very pleasantly surprised. The dolmas were well balanced, spiced well, and firm. The humus had a great taste and the pita was fresh and very fluffy, it was not thin pita. The spanikopita was fresh and made recently but was very not traditional, I would get again though.

Pleasant place and nice atmosphere, I was there for lunch and it was fairly full.
