Walked down to the WharfDC area for lunch and chose Makers Union for the variety of options and honestly, the reasonable cost (compared to other places here).
I was greeted at the door immediately and chose to sit at a 2 person hightop next to the windows in the bar area. Music is at the perfect sound level to allow chatting with others without straining to hear.
Sheri E was my server, what a rockstar she is. She introduced herself and actually asked my name. Her and the other staff here are very friendly and attentive, not overbearing or absent.
I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip w/fries. Portion size was perfect, leaving me very full and satisfied. The food arrived hot and in a timely manner. It was delicious!
Not only do I recommend Makers Union…. I will be back.

What a great place! Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Staff was exceptional friendly and attentive. Short wait from our reservation time, but not bad. Brussel sprout appetizer was crispy and exceptionally well seasoned. Slightly sweet with a bit of sweet. Loved the salmon poke bowl! So flavorful. Loaded with veggies under the fresh salmon. Fish and chips were the lightest and flakiest I’ve seen in a while. The Parmesan fries were top notch! For vegans, there was a great skewer option. Worth checking out!

This was my first visit and it was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the Nashville chicken bowl and old fashioned. Everything was so good. I sat at the bar and Sherie was my bartender. She is such a sweet person and is the best. Make sure you ask for her!!! I had to have a talk with manager Ronnie, to let me know how great she was. I enjoyed talking to the both of them . If I could leave more than 5 starts I would! Mia was our server and she was absolutely AMAZING! Her energy is contagios and you can tell she loves her job! The food was delicious and the Out of the office forever drink was soooo good! We were looking for a place close to the hotel before heading to the airport and we are lucky we popped in here. Prices are in line with the area and the atmosphere is fantastic. Heading back home to Omaha, Ne. But we will be back next time we are in D.C.! I had the Asian steak salad and hubby had steak and fries.

Love this place! Yes, I should have made reservations so I do recommend that but they were able to get us in and seated really quickly. The service was amazing, our server kicking butt every step of the way. I was just impressed! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely.

We went on a Monday night and it was not crowded. We were seated right away and our waitress “Temeka” was very helpful when it came to ordering our food. We had some Mocktails and they were pretty good and we ordered the Tomahawk Steak for 2 with some sides. Everything came out beautiful and it was tastes well. I’ve been here several times now, and every visit has left me smiling! It was great connecting with the manager, who is Middle Eastern. He always takes the time to check in and makes you feel valued. ☺️ Even when the staff is busy, they never make you feel rushed or overlooked. That consistency says everything.
I’ve come during the day to sit at the bar and get work done, and they were so gracious about it. I’ve also enjoyed a lovely dinner here, and the experience was just as wonderful in the evening. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

My friend and I ended up here by chance and I’m so glad that we tried something new! The entire experience was pleasant, from the wait to the service & the food. My friend had a drink from the specialty menu and also enjoyed that.
