Ok ya’ll, if you’re in the area you gotta check out We’re Outside in Alton! I dont normally do BBQ because I’m such a bbq snob but let me tell you, this is GOOD! Porksteaks fallin off the bone! Which is how God intended them to be eaten, dammit!! Bite me, Myron.

Got the half rack of ribs, and they were quite good. Simple tender and great flavor. Ordered baked beans and potato salad as my sides, both were also great. Good atmosphere with the outdoor seating and several tables spread out, I didn’t eat at one of the tables, but it seemed like it would a good spot. Guy taking the orders was nice and I get the impression he was the owner, making it happen. I’d strongly encourage everyone to stop in.

Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful environment. Clean seating, good music, and even better smells. I got the pulled chicken my girlfriend got the pulled pork and we ended up trading. The lemonade is amazing and the staff are so nice. I’ll absolutely be coming back very often.

Good BBQ for a good price.
We’re Outside is off the beaten path, but it is easy to find. It’s just a little shed and you order at one window from the outside and pick your food up at the next window. They have a huge patio if you want to eat on location, but it is not pet friendly.
I ‘m a fan of Pork Steaks, so that is what I ordered on my first visit. It was fork tender, I could pull off a bite without using a knife. The flavor was good and not over sauced. All their side dishes are housemate and delicious. My sides were; Mac-n-Cheese and Potato Salad. The Mac-n-Cheese was rich and creamy, but for me it needed more pepper (easy fix). My Potato Salad was one of the best that I have had at a BBQ joint.
The young lady working the order window was friendly and answered my questions professionally. Owner is usually on site from what I have heard and he to was pleasant to talk with.
This location is convenient for me and I’ll probably become a regular. So, when you go to give it a try, we may cross paths.

Got the Pulled Chicken, half slab and spaghetti. Everything was tasty. Chicken sandwich was on the small side. Ribs were very tender. Spaghetti was slightly softer then I would have liked. Flavorful though. I’ll be back again.

Great little place. The owner seemed really nice. Will definitely be going back. Had the pulled pork because i had never been there. It was excellent. Plenty of flavor and tangy sauce, not too sweet. Chili was good also. The kids had a hot dog and a chili dog and said they were yummy.

Well….I was going to post a picture of the pulled chicken, baked beans & the cucumber salad (btw amazing) …unfortunately after the first bite, I couldn’t stop eating. Definitely coming back, great flavors and atmosphere!

We ordered brisket for a company luncheon on the 4th of July and the owners were incredible with helping us out,going as far as adjusting their working hours on the holiday to accommodate. The food was a huge hit. We will definitely be ordering from them again for future events!
