Wanted to try something different. This came up with good reviews and I’m glad we went. Our server was extremely helpful in picking out dishes. Both my colleague and myself chose lamb dishes. It is eat with your hands restaurant. My dish with the more saucy appearance was definitely better. It’s number one under the lamb options. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

This was my second time eating here and my sister’s first Ethiopian cuisine experience. Super impressed all around! There is such a special connection cultivated when you eat with your hands and share a meal with someone you love.
We were served by Mikel, an incredibly kind and helpful human. I loved the art that was all over the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We got the lentil sambusas to share; so good! I got the Injuday tibs (vegan mushroom dish) with injera; fantastic recommendation by our server!
Overall, this is a place to eat at if you’re looking for not just a meal, but an experience.

Soooo good. We got the family meat for 4 and it was so tasty esp the fish and chicken tibs. The collard green were super tasty. I wasn’t feeling brave enough to do jalapeño tonite but evidently those were real super fresh.

We’ve lived in the same neighborhood as Habesha for 19 years, and today was the first time we’ve visited. We’d been going to Aster’s for ages, but Habesha was fantastic. Big, clean dining space. Friendly service. Most of all, the food was fantastic. Would definitely come back!

My first time here, and it didn’t disappoint! I had the vegetarian/vegan combo for one. Every element was full of flavor and so nourishing! The injera was on-point. This restaurant has great vibes and decor as well. The best part was Mikel who was genuine in his friendliness and customer service. We had great conversation that made me feel at home while eating out. I highly recommend!

I stopped by here for lunch today, and it was my very first time trying Ethiopian food… I was not disappointed, they recommended some restaurant favs and I gave them a try and they did not miss! The iced tea is absolutely lovely! Black tea, with cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. The baklava is a must try.
If you’re ever curious, just go for it!
Will be back for sure
Keep up the good work

Unsuspecting from the outside, deliciously surprised on the inside! Our server, Mikel, was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations for us. We enjoyed beef and lentil sambusas, Bozena Shiro, and Awazay Tibs, with injera bread. We had to try some coffee as well, which was amazing! Overall, it was peaceful, pretty, clean, and more than anything, delicious! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to travel around the world while here in Austin. A treat!
