My daughter and I come here often. When we’re unsure what to eat, the staff are very friendly, the food is cheap and delicious, and their pizza is fantastic – just my favorite flavor. Overall, you won’t regret coming here.

The view is beautiful, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The food was extremely bland, dry, and lacking flavor. The potatoes, which appeared to be instant and were soupy. Im pretty sure the icecream was fake and everything was so dry, even the salad was shriveled. The soda was so watered down it was barely drinkable.
When I went to order from the wood-fired grill, the employee changed the sign to “closed” and said they were no longer serving. It wasn’t until I mentioned that I had already paid for brunch that he agreed to make what I requested.
For two adults and two children under 12, the total came to $76. They strongly emphasize only taking what you can eat, which would be understandable if the food quality matched the price—but it didn’t. I would not recommend this buffet. Save your money.

I believe this was the location of the old Izzy’s pizza that I once had dinner at with some friends. It is now a private buffet, but also offers Pizza and a variety of buffet items. The selection is not too broad, these photographs show everything that was on offer when I was there for lunch, but the food quality is excellent for a buffet. The chicken in particular was tender and juicy, and they had three different kinds of seasoning options from barbecue to baked.
Parking is abundant unless it is the absolute busiest time with their own private parking lot on the top of the hill. The view of the ocean is spectacular from most of the dining room, a photo of that is included here., I simply took that from where I chose to sit for my lunch.The music selection is pleasant, and it is a family friendly atmosphere.
Particularly of interest to me was something I have not seen since the childhood buffet I used to eat at when I was younger. You can see the pricing board and at least when I was there it was $1.25 per year, so if you are a dad like me that has a bunch of small children you can have dinner and eat as much as you would like, and you can bring along a bunch of toddlers and younger children without paying through the nose. That may make this one of the best values along this part of the coast for a family with young ones. They will especially like the soft serve ice cream.
The first pizza I got would’ve received a four star review as it was a little bit hard from having sat out, but while I was here, they brought out fresh pizzas and it is the best buffet pizza I’ve had in a while. It is buffet pizza.
Another highlight for me was the pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew in the salad bar that was ideally ripe, fresh, and very good.
The customer service was friendly, they refill your drinks for you, and just generally more than you would normally expect from a buffet.
I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try, it is the perfect place, particularly for a family with a few small kids to have dinner after spending the day at the beach. Maybe not the place for a couple on a romantic dinner.

I would not go again. And I would not tell anyone to go.
Any meat was rubbery or dry, freezer burnt. Fish tacos were bland. And only tasted green peppers.
Salad bar was decent.
Cinnamon rolls were definitely from a great value can. Pineapple upside down was over cooked/ burnt.
Fresh fruit was very good.
So with all that said 1 star food rating.
I should have listened to the other reviews.

Our waitress was Teresa and she was such a wonderful person. Very attentive to our group of 9. The cashier was also very pleasant. This place had great food options for the different picky eaters in our group. We all left full and happy.

Beautiful view of the ocean- the man at the register treated me very kindly and let me check out the buffet when I asked if they had vegan options. They have a giant delicious looking salad bar and he offered to make me a vegan pizza!! The server (Nely) had it made with a gluten free crust even! It was so delicious I was not the only person partaking in the vegan treat!! I was treated so well and everyone was so sweet, I will always remember the hill on Lighthouse Dr!!

The Hill Buffet & Grill is located in the North end of Newport near Agate Beach. It’s rare to see one of these still open after the plague of 2022.
Nice atmosphere, great view of the ocean, and freshly prepared food make this establishment a place to try.
Reasonable price for the meal and a Senior discount is available. The night I was there, they had “made to order” Fish Tacos. Some of the best I’ve had in a while. If you enjoy a good buffet, The Hill Buffet & Grill is a good bet.

Amazing brunch with a phenomenal view! The fried chicken was the best I’ve had in ages. The sausage and bacon cooked to perfect. There was a huge salad bar plus a dessert bar with soft serve. Pizza, veggies potatoes and so much more. Definitely soooooo worth stopping by! Did I mention the view?! Lol. Excellent food at great prices.
