Food was absolutely amazing but when dessert time came, waitress took about six minutes to give us our dessert menu. Music was great and the people around us were very nice. waitress refilled beverages every time they got low. I was also pleasantly surprised when I got four small two medium sized chicken tenders that tasted delicious although ketchup was not Heinz. It tasted even better and was superb Food for 3 cost more than $60 including tips. overall, food tasted delicious. As for the music and overall atmosphere the music was great and the atmosphere was wonderful even the owner asked us if everything was going all right

Decided to go to Glenville Queen Diner for “date night dinner”! It was really good! I had the chef’s salad and my husband had the prime rib. Both were great. Service was wonderful. We had a great time. Then we went to Target

This was a really great place to sit and eat. The food was really good, the service was amazing! We had a group of 7 people and our server, Aspen, was amazing! The food came quick, it was only a few minutes before we all had our full order in front of us, ready to eat! Fast service and amazing food! The prices were fairly and we had desserts after that were incredible! We were told that the desserts are freshly made downstairs in their hidden bakery, it was so good! I don’t normally like chocolate cake, but this is the only exception, it was amazing! The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to and made sure we all got everything we needed. We went for dinner at about 6 or 7pm and there was plenty of room for 7 of us. They also have seating for larger groups and functions. I got a bacon burger with sweet potato fries and it was great! Filled me up without making my stomach ache, which is really hard to do. The servers were very attentive, even when there were young children that were a little extra active. Our server, Aspen, was absolutely super! Thank you!

I ordered the Yankee Pot Roast meal. The waitress informed me that I receive 3 sides with food. I ordered pea soup which was bland. I also picked macaroni salad and cold beets. I picked these sides because I thought I was going to be eating Yankee pot roast that includes roast beef, potatoes, carrots and onions. I received a plate of roast beef sliced sandwich thin covered in brown gravy. I told the waitress I ordered pot roast. She informed me that their Yankee pot roast did not include the vegetables. She also stated that’s why I received 3 sides choices. The beef was tender and tasted good. I was very disappointed with the meal though expecting a true Yankee pot roast. This the first time i have ordered Yankee pot roast and received only a plate of roast beef and gravy at a Greek style diner. Yankee Pot Roast was the exact wording on the menu.

Stepping in you’re greatest by a mait’re de, a wonderful family man who understands the necessities of parenthood. And that really is the key for this establishment, whether through love of the craft or love for their families this truly is a family restaurant.

You’re going to be greeted with an aesthetic that I know from my childhood. At one point in time this restaurant was finely divided between smoking and non-smoking some 25 years ago. That question has long since been rendered superfluous but the architecture from that time is still present. Of note however is the lovely little free library they keep in the front breezeway.

The food is amazing, I am as always a die hard fan of Reubens, and this establishment is no slouch. The menu is extensive and the kids meals are large, with breakfast items being served at all hours of the day. My only complaint is the price of the food, although I fear that’s more a sign of the times and a reluctant acceptance from the establishment. Whether despite this or in acknowledgement the portions are sized for plenty of leftovers.

The staff is personal and good at what they do, the few times we’ve come here we’ve made several odd requests that were handled swiftly and without fuss, a plate of pickles, a plate of olives, a towel to mop up after my children spilled their water, etc. This does mean that sometimes the wait is long for the wait staff to get back to you, however it was more than worth the wait and the patience.

I highly recommend the Glenville Queen diner if you’re in the area and looking for a meal.

I haven’t set foot in the GQD in 10 years. Pre-2015 it was one of our “go to” places to grab a quick, reasonably-priced, adequate meal. It was never particularly great, but it was reliable and quick. I don’t know what happened back in 2015, but we had 6 HORRIBLE dining experiences in a row. Food was awful, service was terrible, prices were up and it took forever to get food. I have spoken with friends who have been there recently (2025) and they have all indicated that they will never return. It’s a shame, because it’s in a great location.

The Glenville Queen never disappoints. I spent the $84.99 for the Family Turkey Dinner and it was well worth the money and fed everybody in my family of 4. This dinner was definitely a treat. The people are great. The food is great. I’ve nothing but praise for the place.

I was alone, so I looked at the counter to see if I could sit there and received a lot of surly stares from the guys sitting there. I made a joke to the manager on my way to my table that they looked like a lot of grumpy old men, LOL. (I am not a young person either). When the waitress came I ordered “waffle with blueberries”. This arrived with blueberry preserves slathered on, which, besides not matching what was on the menu, had the effect of making my waffle soggy. I sent it back and asked for fresh blueberries as I understood them. After consultation with management, the waitress brought me a new waffle, with the same exact preserves in a little bowl. I said, “don’t you know what fresh berries are?”. I left her a decent tip anyway, but at the cashier the manager (sorry, no name) told me “You can keep your money and we don’t want you coming here again”. . Whoa. When I complained that the menu wasn’t accurate, he brought up my jokey comment about the Grumpy Old Men at the counter. THOSE ARE HIS REGULARS, he informed me. Thin skin, and no fresh fruit, is no way to run a diner! Those guys may be his regulars but doesn’t he recognize me, too? Score one for the grumpy old men, they can have it.

I’ve had some bad food in my life. I’ve been here so many times, as a local, and had good memories and experiences here. One bite of the hot turkey sandwich and something was off. The taste was off. I couldn’t continue to eat it and it’s the first thing I’ve ever sent back ever. The manager came over and asked what was wrong and I said the taste is bad and somethings off. I want to send it back. He apologized and asked if I wanted it remade which I did not. Then the manager brought out a piece of turkey in his hand?? To show me it was fresh?? I said that’s ok I don’t want it. I assumed that this meant it would be taken off the bill. When we got the bill it was still on it and then the cashier rudely argued with us and wouldn’t take it off despite a long back and forth. They said just bc I didn’t like it doesn’t mean they refund it. It was practically untouched. I will never, ever go here again, and recommend you steer clear as well.

Perfect diner. Don’t miss this one of your in the area. Super conversation and food knowledge. Pleasant staff all around. Waitress went on break and told us she would have another waitress cover, and she introduced herself. Good pricing. Food was delicious and fresh tasting.
