I have mixed feelings about my visit here. We came on a Sunday afternoon. Visiting from Alabama. I had high hopes that this would be one of the little “off the beaten path” Mexican restaurants you run into sometimes but it really wasn’t. I didn’t feel that the food was really that fresh (especially the chips) and it just didn’t pop. Also the staff seemed a little distracted and I didn’t see a Mexican in the entire restaurant. Now I’m not saying that you have to have Mexicans to have a good Mexican restaurant but I kinda think that they would be the experts so to speak. They ran out of diet coke and they really developed a long line of customers and no one was manning the front desk.

The food was satisfactory I ordered the “Laredo” the kids got mini taco salad and cheese melts. My wife got Fajitas. My wife gave extra points because they serve queso along with the salsa and chips without having to order extra. It kind of tasted like store bought queso from a jar though. Overall it wasn’t a bad visit. Decently priced and the kids were happy. I guess I had just hoped for a bit more of a wow experience. We’re a family of 4 with kids (4 and 8 yrs old).

EDIT : I just went to the bathroom and I’m fairly sure the restrooms haven’t been cleaned in about 5 years. I changed my review from 3 to 2 stars. You just gotta do better than that. Posted some pics.

They have always had the best sauce and dip. The BEST quesadilla I’ve ever had. Most places dont serve Spinach Quesadillas, and they knocked it out of the park! Service was great and the ambiance is terrific.

The waitress was very friendly. Nothing we ate was good though. The salsa was like store bought picante sauce. The cheese sauce was gross. There weren’t many food options, and everything we ate was disgusting. Nothing was fresh. It was by far the worst food I’ve ever had. There were olives in the beef burritos. And there was randomly a side of honey mustard. I wouldn’t classify this restaurant as a Mexican restaurant. Go somewhere else.

I love Panchos, and all the food was good. The fajitas were great. I just couldnt give them a 5 star rating because my first Margarita had a bug in it (they replaced the drink once i noticed it), and the bathrooms were not clean.

Everyone that knows me, knows that I love my Mexican food, but I’m beyond discussed today. I was hoping for a good meal. For starters I still tipped the waitress $2. I give them props the tea was good and sweet. But the rice was bland you could tell the beans come from a can…. When I took the 2nd bite of my taco and had a bone in my mouth it was over…..

The food was delicious and we love the atmosphere. But…we arrived at 8pm on a Friday night. It wasn’t very crowded but it appeared they were under staffed. We had to stop someone and ask for more chips and refills on our drinks. We have eaten there many times and will be back…I thought no this was just a fluke!

Food is pretty good but the staff are the most unfriendly people ever. No one spread to enjoy working here. If the staff were average I would give this place 4 stars.

Took 20 minutes to take our order, no refills till food came, cold cheese. Brown lettuce on my plate and overcooked shrimp. Never brought requested drinks.

Pancho’s is a historical icon in the area. The building is old and oddly put together. However, the food is amazing. The cheese dip and chips are just what you are looking for. I recommend enchilada, but you’ll be hard pressed to go wrong. Stop in and enjoy.
