Came by Friday for lunch with a friend and had a great experience from start to finish. I ordered the grilled chicken with Mexican rice, while my friend went for the fajitas with a side of nachos and queso. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and well portioned.
The menu is surprisingly large and diverse, with plenty of pictures to help guide you, especially since some dishes might be unfamiliar.
Prices are very reasonable, ranging from about $5 to $20. Chips and drinks arrived within minutes, and our entrees followed after about 10–15 minutes. The waiter was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming.
There’s plenty of parking, but plan your entry depending on which direction you’re coming from because the location is located at a four-way intersection. Almost had to pull a u-turn.
Fun fact: Cinco Amigos translates to “Five Friends.” Pretty fitting for a place you’ll definitely want to share with friends.

The food was good. We got nachos el carbon with chicken. It was good but for the price it should have been great. A little too expensive for chicken with no sour cream, guacamole and etc added to it.

I used to love Cinco Amigos but could never understand why my family and friends refused to eat there until my recent visit. The quality of the food was incredibly poor; the meat had a foul smell, the guacamole was watery and seemed old. We experienced a 20-minute delay before our order was taken, and drink refills were not offered. We later discovered that our server was hanging out at the bar with friends, which likely contributed to the inadequate service we received, despite the restaurant being relatively uncrowded. I can see why.

A good spot to eat if you are around the area.
The service was good , the menu had good variety.
The chicken fajitas was solid .
Probably the item I ordered wasnt what i was expecting and probably wasnt for me .
It was the shrimp in garlic butter sauce and didnt have any other sauce i could use for my rice .
Overall i would recommend this place and research a little before you order

Ordered a number 16. It was described as grilled chicken, I added shrimp, on a bed of rice COVERED IN cheese sauce. There is literally cheese in one tiny quarter of the pan. Highly unsatisfied with this experience.

If you have to Cookeville, this is a must eat.
We were seated almost immediately and our server as well as the other staff were honestly the nicest I’ve met at a Mexican restaurant.
We went around lunchtime and it didn’t feel crowded with the way the seating is. Plus, the restroom is an easy find.
I highly recommend number 44, the burrito pollo. The cheese sauce is so delicious.

So far the best casual Mexican we have found in Tennessee. Great flavors without being salty. Generous portions at a fair price. Had the Pollo ala Crema. So good!
Friendly and clean.

I love coming to this place for my Taco Salad obsession lol. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Cookeville. I’ve been going to Cinco’s for years. Today was an early birthday celebration for me and this place is just as amazing as it’s always been since the first day I came here back in 2015. Highly recommend this place if you love Mexican food like I do. In the food pictures that I added, I ordered the “Shredded Chicken Taco Salad.” There is another option of the Beef Taco Salad if you don’t like chicken.
