Well looks like it was an indication of how this Panda will be. PLEASE anyone that first times here do not let it be your final judgment on this place. This is plagued by the Dixie Hwy restaurants. First few weeks are decent, when all of the trainers and correct Panda employees are there. Now it’s mainly the lazy locals, working here.
Update 7-6-2025
I hope this isn’t an indication of how this Panda will be… first few days, great service and food. Today went in areived 830p, 2 hours before closing.. some snarky young girl with bright red lipstick and caked on white makeup. “Helped” started to order “bowl and plate with super greens” she looked back to another girl “do we have any super greens?”
She looked back at us, “We don’t have that, you need to choose rice or chow mein”
Neither of which I can eat. No offer to wait a few minutes from her like any other time I’ve been to Panda, I’ve reviewed several lovations in louisville and Indiana. Then was done. I tried to call and discuss with someone there, but called the phone number listed and no one answered, rang 2 times that was all. “This number is unavailable “
This is a round opening June 26th 2025. I went in there, I ordered my usual. I would get from every other panda, super greens, double honey sesame chicken, chicken eggrolls. I had about a minute. Wait time on the super greens because they were out, which is perfectly fine with me. Speedy service, the line was almost non existent. Of course, they had about 15 or more employees in there. Due to opening, I’m assuming unless they plan to keep that. Many people employed afterwards, which I doubt based off of other pandas. This layout is a little different than other pandas. I’ve been in looks like they have some round tables with pull out chairs and a couple long tables cafeteria style. The super greens plate, small drink and two chicken egg rolls was just about $16. I’m definitely coming back. I love panda. I’m glad we have one here on our side of Dixie. I’ve heard talks of one coming in valley station, but this one was much needed for the area, I think.
I called back up there today 10/28/2025 and the manager couldn’t find where she wrote my name down but the manager was nice enough to replace it anyways.
This orange chicken does not taste like any other Panda express’s orange chicken. It is soggy and chewy with little hard pieces. I could not believe that a second time was just as terrible as the first time.
I am beyond sad.
The eggroll had a different taste than I’m used to, and the wrapper texture was odd. The chow mein seems to be noodles and shredded cabbage. The noodles had a bit of a gummy texture. The broccoli beef was tender, but a bit salty for me. The orange chicken was a bit sweet to my taste. The broccoli and chicken got better as they cooled. The chow mein got worse. The Kung Pao chicken had a nice heat, but again, tasted sort of unusual. Not bad, just unexpected.
They’re okay, but I’d rather go to a local joint.
